Another excellent vintage of this exquisite South African Chenin. Fruit is from High elevation vineyards. Light golden color. Aromas of pear, white flowers, lanolin and a fresh mountain breeze. The pallet is complex with flavors of pear, lemon/lime, peach, melon, orange zest and fresh herbs. Long lasting and mineral-filled finish. Gripping acidity and a fine creamy texture. Totally elegant! Thanks Kase for offering up this beauty! Revisited in January 2024. Still beautiful! — 10 months ago

Delectable red berry and black plums on the nose with an amazingly smooth finish. The acidity is just perfect in this Cabernet. — 8 years ago
A brickish hue of red leading into black are the start of this impressive red. A nose that is complex with smoke, roasted black fruits, walnut and dried mission fig. The aged palate is silky, with strong tobacco dried mission fig and molasses sap. — 10 years ago

Great left bank Bordeaux blend from South Africa. Dark fruits, pencil lead...Cabernet Sauvignon taste....actually this is all Cab Sav. Made by a Bordeaux lady who moved to South Africa — 5 years ago
First vintage of Abrie Beeslaar’s own wine. Since many years winemaker at Kanonkop he launched also his own wine in 2012. This is a completely a-typical Pinotage of which in 2012 only 4700 bottles were made. Lots of red fruit, cherries and berries, slight sweetness but very enjoyable and not too much. No earthiness at all but a modern and fresh in style. After some years in bottle this wine is performing greatly. Unique in style Abrie makes one of the best Pinotages which today are made in SA. — 6 years ago
One of South Africa's classic Cabernet Sauvignon, textbook, exceptionally well executed

Wow!! A great bottle regardless of price. For the price you should be buying this by the case and shoving it in your face — 9 years ago
Nice blend from South Africa. — 10 years ago
Aromas of sunripened yellow apples and pears. Tactile, subtle sweet dried apricots and honey - balanced, subtle mineral finish. — 11 years ago
Plum and fresh apricot, dry with a bit of chalkiness. Wonderfully refreshing! Does need time to open up though. — 6 months ago
This wine is the embodiment of everything I love about Chenin Blanc.
As it comes to temperature the first aromas to come out are vanilla lemon custard before transforming to an intoxicating mix of mustard seed and flesh of Charentais melon and finally Meyer lemon and wild honey comb.
Sorry Vouvray but South Africa has really surpassed you're attempt. — 9 months ago
Very nice for the price. Dry red fruits forward with cherry and plum flavors. Earthy qualities with smoke and leather. Well balanced — 2 years ago

I love the stone fruit in Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc. White pepper, unripe pineapple, and oddly a hint of petrol. This paired nicely with Chilean Sea Bass.
