In your face Chardonnay. Lemon core, orange peel, sprinkle in a bit of vanilla bean. Striking fresh acidity.
It’s got a decade plus in it. Under $35 , this Chardonnay will only get better with a little more time in the bottle. Looking forward to opening my 2015’s 😉 — 7 years ago
Color of beautiful saturated gold. Nose is nutty, with some mango and peachy flavors. Taste of ample acidity to balance the nutty flavors. After acidity fades away, more nutty flavors and fruits come up. Very round and full structured Chardonnay. Aftertaste is long and very enjoyable, with nice sprinkle of zest. Overall, she is a nicely made full structure Chardonnay that surpasses the taste of many other expensive white. — 8 years ago
This was a transcendent Riesling experience. The best Merkelbach I've ever had, and it's still so young. The best description I can fathom is the ripest kiwi ever with a sprinkle of sea salt and the pure essence of red slate. The characteristic spice is definitely there but hiding in the background for now. The utter depth, concentration, extract, and searing acidity make it unforgettable. — 8 years ago
Rich purple. Soft with expressive bright fruit - ready to go blueberries on the nose and bright black fruit on the palate. Sprinkle of pepper to finish. — 8 years ago
Vivacity + stems + sprinkle of natty + channeling Prieure Roch and we get awesome wine! This is burgundy worth buying! — 6 years ago
The best that there is! Mix with Apple juice and some nice - for a fancy version can sprinkle with some ground cinnamon ;) — 7 years ago
Sage, nutmeg, allspice, black currant, smoked blackberry and blackened plum with shimmering basalt, cedar and vintage tobacco. Medium mouthfeel with refined tannins, a blood-like iron taste, rich, black cherry and dried cranberry with a gritty, earthen coat. A sprinkle of graphite and nettle in a cedar box. #poderesapaio #bolgheri #italianredwine #rosso #thanksgivingwine #thanksgivingindulgence #thanksgiving — 7 years ago
Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre blend. Light and bright. Muted complexity with pepper, meat, and a sprinkle of baking spices and orange peel. The misses is looking at me sideways as she only likes monster domestic cabs. I say you gotta mix it up sometimes. This will be even better in 2 + years. — 8 years ago

Like a pear frangipane tart with a little sprinkle of coarse salt on the finish. Loving it. — 8 years ago

Mighty good, right fresh. Got a menace of steel, a shimmer of the dope sprinkle-spices, a whisper of the dark places. Right lovely drinkin for my American-ass dollars. — 7 years ago
What a Nice cab franc, wonderful on the nose and a taste of liquorish honey with a sprinkle of cocoa. — 8 years ago
First up, tobacco, sage, violet, and strawberry tart; then we have red plum and wet soil with a sprinkle of white pepper and satiny tannins. Surprisingly lean given the warmth of the vintage but still aromatically detailed and charming as hell. — 8 years ago
2009. Just did some digging in my Old German dictionary and it turns out that Gundlach Bundschu means "young, massive." How fitting. Eight years in and this wine leans primary in a big way. Delicious flavor complexity with great overall balance. Fruit, tannins, and acids are all in sync. Rich body and notable depth. This wine could go five to eight years longer, maybe more. Went great with pan-seared ribeyes and spuds. (Had spinach in the pan until the cap of the garlic powder pranked me. A light sprinkle turned into spinach murder. What a mess. This tasty wine kept us all focused on what matters.) — 8 years ago
