This wine definitely called for a nice steak, it's muscular, super rich. I would cellar this for a while. Deep purple in color with a purplish rim.

Full bodied and Bold, with high acidity and awesome legs.

After an hour of opening up, gorgeous nose with blackberries, blueberries, currants, chocolate, turmeric, vanilla, spices, cooked plums, figs, licorice and peppercorn.

Dry and fruity on the palate with black currents, figs, cherries, blackberries, dry fruits, vanilla, licorice, coffee, tobacco, Mediterranean spices and black pepper.

Long finish with spices, smooth tannins and tart cherries.

Really needs 1 hour to open up properly. Another great Cabernet from the Michael David house. Very enjoyable by itself or with a big juicy steak. I Paired it with a Moroccan chicken dish with lots of spices, and it held its own well.

This changed some from a year ago. Matured and not as abrasive.

The 2008 vintage has aged beautifully and I submit that it is approaching its peak potential. The dark fruit flavor coupled with mature balance on the palate makes this offering well worth an excellent rating.
