Plump and ripe red and black cherries, fruit forward. A bit of minerality and the Rutherford dust, but the fruit really overpowers. Light mouthfeel, minimal finish. Same comments as previous bottles. — 3 years ago
We had the 2013 Vintage on 5/2-3/21. This was a terrific full bodied, well balanced wine. Tastes of blackberry, plum, kirsch and vanilla on the palate. The tannins were smoothed out. A great example of the Napa floor. — 5 years ago
Nicely balanced, very round on the palate. Great with spicy scallops. A truly enjoyable blending of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. — 6 years ago
2009 tasting beautifully. Perfect balance of fruit and light notes of chocolate and mineral. — 7 years ago

An icon in Napa, and for good reason. Classic old-skool Napa style. Well mannered, subtle with an easy going temperament, almost backward. Notes of coffee, cinnamon and cherry play of moderate tannins. Acidity is perfectly balanced. No rush at all to consume these. Respect… — 2 years ago
Deep purple without a hint of any other suggesting improper storage. Classic if a bit understated Napa nose. Soft yet appropriately firm tannins. Ripe black fruits. Luscious wine. Suggest drinking sooner rather than later owing to fruit ripeness. — 5 years ago
The only thing bad about this wine is the price. I do not think the 2010 held up to our expectations of the vineyard, which we’ve been members of for over a decade. — 6 years ago

Excellent! Noses well. Forward tasting. Slight tartness. Light finish, but smooth. Rutherford one of rare wineries in NAPA with a Pinot. This is 2012 vintage. — 7 years ago

2013 alpha omega- smells of cherries, a little sharp- definitely more bright than the opus. Just the right amount of fruit but not bold enough. Cherries flavor as well. 9.0 $35 — 8 years ago
Open the bottle night and I pulled this one and it was a true gem. This wine gave no signs of being 22 years old - juicy fruit, freshness, complexity, and balance were still very much present. It gave off vibes of once being bold and in your face, but was now effortlessly stunning. It was a real treat to share this with others. Also my WOTN.

Very fine #cabernetsauvignon is suitable for aging. Very juicy and fresh with medium+ acidity and a lovely juicy and balsamic finish with sensations of bay leaf and thyme. #napacabs and reasonable for the price. — 6 years ago

About as good as Napa Cab gets. If you have the 2012 vintage, drink it this year. It is perfect now. Have nothing before it. It is a gentle giant. Balanced in all aspects and just a pure drinking pleasure. Surprised to catch whiffs of cinnamon and five spice with perfect tannins and overall structure.
Enjoy. — 7 years ago
Decanted 3 hours. With a medium rare beef tenderloin. Dark purple color. Tons of violet and sweet red fruit perfume and anise - brighter nose than the color. In the mouthful lots of sweet black licorice with red cherry fruit. Long finish with soft tannins. This can age easily another 5-10 and will be interesting to see what secondary flavors come out and how much fruit is retained. Very very CA to me - not a Bordeaux or super Tuscan. Magnum from winery in early 00s. Perfect color and big, deep aromas of cassis, horsehair, menthol & sage and vanilla oak, A polished feel (new oak). Just smooth & effortless, hardly any tannin on the finish. No sediment! Shows liveliness of its younger years, big sweet fruit and slight alcohol (like old whiskey). Stunned it kept in perfect condition — 7 months ago
