We had the 2013 Vintage on 5/2-3/21. This was a terrific full bodied, well balanced wine. Tastes of blackberry, plum, kirsch and vanilla on the palate. The tannins were smoothed out. A great example of the Napa floor. — 5 years ago

Opened nicely after hour but needs more time for the tannins to soften a bit. Raspberries on the nose but Less forward fruit and more nuance. This shows flavors of berry and plum with strong notes of balsam wood and hints of chocolate and spice. This has potential to get better in a couple years but delicious now just decant for at least an hour — 13 years ago

A gift from a special brother-in-law enjoyed with our last dinner of 2021. Very dark in the glass releasing smoked mango notes when nosed. A sip suggests cocoa-dusted dark cherries in velvet. It goes down easy but finish is long and lingering warm and pleasant. I really enjoyed this bottle of wine! — 5 years ago

Drinking well. Aged red cherry and mint. Little bit of truffle and mushroom. Tobacco leaf on the middle. A lot more rounded on the body then I expected. Finish is a little bit gravelly but very nice length and depth. These Napa's with a little bit of age on them are really drinking well. I would honestly say that there really is not too much of a hurry to drink this right now. But I also don't expect it to appreciate in the bottle, so why not drink now? — 7 years ago

Upon opening i felt it had too much alcohol. This was a misperception. After giving it a half an hour to breathe it balanced out very well. The nose is heavy black currant and bell pepper with creamy vanilla lingering. Great fruit in here lots of over ripe stewed blackberry and dried black currant and dark cherry notes. Slightly smokey with amazing oak flavors. Cinnamon and other baking spices with intense vanilla flavors. Excellent effort. — 12 years ago
