Hazelnuts and cordial cherry. AN interesting nose, that seems to grow bolder as it opens.
Top medium to heavy weighted, with red fruit seeds and pithe, dried persimmons, Hawaiian Christmas pepper, astringent tannins, mingled with a long lasting salinity.
A lovely, bold wine, and a wonderful way to celebrate our 7minutes left sojourn from the escape room earlier today. — 6 years ago

I haven’t had a French love affair in awhile, but here I find myself again. The sound outside of the “gite” window during the afternoon sojourn of me and “x” Frenchman is one of honey bees flitting from the stamen to stigma of strawberry plants, impregnating rosettes to guarantee me even more days of oenophilic passion. (D, the husband I briefly forgot about, indicates he bought this at Cambridge Wine & Spirits). — 7 years ago
One of my wines of the year. — 10 years ago
Sappy, stems, caramelised sweetness; medium bodied juiciness. Moreish, a little black fruit depth - reels you back in. — 11 years ago
Opens slowly, fruit forward nice Sonoma Pinot.

1 hr decant, but tested throughout. Opened up and changed quite a bit over that time. 👃 is cherry, earth, and a little barnyard. Cherry, char, iodine, and plum in the mouth. There’s a lot to love, but there are a couple notes that protrude and break up the balance. Almost sexy. — 6 years ago
Cherry stem , wet leaves, ripe delicious — 6 years ago
Amazing ! Definitely recommend — 7 years ago
Compared to the 13 Sojourn, this pinot just didn't compare. By far, the 09 KB and the 13 Sojourn outdrank it. Poured a little translucent. The nose was red cherry. Some herb. Finishes rather unidimensional. I think this one will be better in a couple of years. What this one needs is two years of bottle age. Just doesn't have the depth....now. — 7 years ago

This needs a lot of air time right now. It was definitely better after an open overnight sojourn in the wine fridge. — 9 years ago
Lots of character. Drank this next to the sojourn and liked it a little better — 10 years ago
More depth than the Sojourn from same vineyard — 10 years ago
Excellent. More refined and less concentrated fruit that the Sojourn Pinots that Erich makes, but just as delicious. — 11 years ago
Good but not great. Definitely not as good as some of the others we frequent. Oaky and bright. A nice change of pace. — 6 years ago
Everything that Sonoma Chardonnay should be - full bodied , rich , well balanced , great finish , nicely oaked without being over-the-top buttery... a winner — 6 years ago
Hints of vanilla, a smooth finish, — 6 years ago
Delicious fruit and herbaceous notes. Plenty of acid. Drinking nicely now but glad we have 5 bottles in the cellar to sit on. Going to drink for a long while. @Craig Haserot this is a beauty! — 7 years ago

Great mineral-driven Chardonnay on par with Burgundy. — 7 years ago
Can't find Walala Pinot here (which is a first!) but it's very good. Full fruit but darkish and balanced. Really nice even this early. — 9 years ago
Very young and could use some cellaring. Bright fruit and big — 10 years ago
Medium acidity. Aromas of apple and honeysuckle. Long finish. — 10 years ago
Huge wine. Very rich and fruity. Not over the top — 11 years ago
Dark red fruit, Asian spice and rich earth tones. Well balanced, subtle and silky tannins. — 11 years ago
Not bad at all! Bright ripe fruit, somewhat boozy, plenty of oak, Napa in a good way. — 11 years ago

1.5 hour decant (just a little cloudy sediment). A thrilling dark purple garnet color. On the nose: blackberry, floral, spice, gravel. Taste: dry, acidic, medium body wine with blackberry, tobacco, cassis, some dusty tannis still there and a cherry cedar medium finish. — 5 years ago
