An expressive Cab with vibrant red fruit of cranberry, pie cherry and currant and a punchy, lingering finish carried by fine grained, well integrated tannins. At the end of this month we will be telling the story of this hidden gem in Idaho. One of the early pioneers in the PNW together with some, now, legendary winemakers in Washington state. Hells Canyon found a perfect spot right here in southwest Idaho over overlooking the Snake River. 2nd Idaho wine, found at Robin’s Roost Grocery Store in Island Park ID.
Unknown varietal %, off-dry, full body, soft & fruity.
This is a good wine, though the Love Idaho Red is a closer match for me. — 7 months ago
Great everyday drinker! A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, and Merlot. Aromas of Cranberry, Cherry, and Plum. On the bud, leather, cedar, and stewed fruit. It has a nice finish. If you’re in the Boise area, be sure to visit the friendly team at Hat Ranch. — 7 months ago
We are members at this winery... I know... Idaho is still figuring out how to do wine, but this wine is a bit-o-alright! Every other month we make the drive to the winery to pick up our allocation. While there is no restaurant at the winery, you are allowed to bring a picnic lunch. Sitting inside or outside with a picnic lunch and w a tasting that comes free w membership is delightful! Staff is so pleasant, and the winery has remained open (with restrictions) during this time of Covid . We like the experience, and THAT’s why we are members. We were willing to put up w mediocre wine for the EXPERIENCE. But, hey, this wine definitely surpasses mediocre! — 3 years ago

Earthy spices! Wonderful GSM in full harmony. Finaliy a wine that stands up to aged Gouda cheese and creating a symphony. Dark, vibrant complex fruit that meanders to satisfying finish. Did I mention spicy?! — 2 months ago
