These are crafted with such elegance.
Straw berries and slight Smokey tones, a nice nose.
After. 4 hour decant, this is a medium bodied Claret, with a elegant fruit, berry and pit. Solid backbone, small tannins, yet enough to complete this. The acidity straightforward, and long.

Visited the winery in Walla Walla and this wine is a winner with full strawberry aromatics and solid acidity. Can use more time in the bottle but is hard to resist drinking now. Well made from quality fruit. — 7 years ago

A uniquely delightful white blend. Concentrated & full-bodied. Golden in color. Nutty in flavor. Hints of toasted marshmallows. — 8 years ago
Founded at end of 1800 when Lavinio Franceschi, Florence land owner, visited the area. Over a century later, Tenuta covers an area of 530 hectares (140 planted with vines; 50 with olive trees). Aged in French oak for 36 months, 100% Sangiovese hand picked from 20-year old vines. A Gem! Deep Ruby. rich berry fruit aromas with complex spice. Palate has rich berry fruit flavors, baked cherry, with tobacco, cacao & subtle spice. Soft tannins, long finish ending with seductive earthy tones. Nice, aged well! — 5 years ago
Holy ****! This is good. Move over Oregon! Tart raspberry, strawberry, and forest floor to the max balanced by tremendous acidity and smooth tannins. Clusters are hand selected from 65 year old vines and aged 14 months in neutral oak. The structure and character remind me of some higher end Oregon Pinots but with more concentration. Decant for 2 hours to let it open up - then enjoy. 2017 vintage on Jan 17, 2019 — 7 years ago
Nose- musty grape husks doused in homemade grappa
Color - of blood hued overripe plums squeezed warm in your hand and drizzling in tiny rivers between sausage plump tan tinged fingers
Tongue- mineral dry, fruity blossom of earthy almost jammy berry — 7 years ago
A little Rosé magic from Sleight of Hand on Christmas Eve. The Magicians Assistant Rosé is one of better Rosés I had recently. On the nose; pink rose petals, beautiful fragrant soft minerals, powdery chalkiness and lean fruits of; watermelon near the rhine, cherries, strawberries & pink grapefruit w/ a touch of sugar. The mouthfeel is medium, rich and a touch gluey. The palate fruits match the nose. Minerals that grip softly, just the right amount of powdery chalkiness, pink roses, watermelon Jolly rancher, perfect round acidity and an elegant, balanced finish. Merry Christmas everyone ! May it be joyous! 🎁🎄❄️⛄️🥗 — 8 years ago
Yup...that's Neil Patrick Harris on their Label. Sleight of Hand Cellars got involved in a charity that NPH was apart. They got to talking and found he not only had a love of Magic, but wine as well. The relationship evolved well enough, they asked him if he would be on one of their labels and Neil agreed. The "Sleight of Hand Cellars" label has been seen a few times on "How I Met Your Mother." NPH is also is a club member. The Conjurer is blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Cabernet Franc, 8% Merlot and a splash of Petit Verdot from the Columbia Valley. Nice, fresh nose of; ripe dark currants, blackberries, black plum, dark cherries, black raspberries, black licorice, dark chocolate, soft spice, wood shavings and fresh dark florals. The palate is M+ body & soft M+ tannins with a thick, round mouthfeel. Dark spice, eucalyptus, mint, herb notes, cinnamon, vanilla, clove, chocolate, caramel apple, black licorice, crushed rocks, soft leather, nice, round, acidity and a very well polish finish. This is very easy to drink young and will cellar 10 years. — 8 years ago
Darker yellow appearance, very light aromatics, minimal oak, lemon, high acid, medium + minerals, 13.9% EtOH
2016 crop of Wente Selection Chardonnay hand-harvested on 9/23 with a yield of 1.05 tons per acre. Whole-cluster pressed and cold fermented in seasoned French Burgundy barrels. 147 cases produced. — 6 years ago
This definitely tastes like a serious effort; focused, lots of textural and phenolic character, racy acid. I dig it a lot especially on day 2. The Burgundian approach appears to show well here and the wine offers more non-fruit character/intrigue. Crisp yellow apple, orchard blossom, tea leaf, green herb, saline, crushed white rock. Slight aldehydic note coming through on the finish that I don’t find offensive, I think it’s adding something. Curious how this will unwind given how coiled the palate is right now — 7 years ago
The 2016 is out - and it doesn’t disappoint!!!Medium-bodied but mouth filling showing freshly picked cherries, leather and bacon fat. A memorable finish. One of my favorite wines, one of the most reliable. Huge QPR and one you should always have on hand. A little pricey for an everyday house wine, but it’s always worth it. On the downside it went up $1 and is now $21...... — 7 years ago
Layered, a surprising tasty. Best thing I’ve had out of WA! — 8 years ago
Terrific, big fruit flavors, smooth tannins, just a bit of spice. — 8 years ago
This wine is made in conjunction with consultant Michel Rolland. The blend is 81% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1-2% of both Petit Verdot and Malbec. It's meant to be made in a Pomerol style. On the nose; ripe, lush, sweet black currants, sweet tarry notes, black licorice, soft pepper, violets, understated mint and fresh, dark. fresh floral bouquet. The mouthfeel is stunning as are the fruits. Fresh, ripe, nearly candied, blackberries, dark cherries, notes of blueberries, black raspberries/cola, gentle spices, elegant minerals, loamy soils, liquid violets and a gorgeous, long finishing. Comparing other most quality wine prices, this a steal at $60. Photos of one of their vineyards, Gilles in the lab and a hand blown glass artwork in their tasting room. — 8 years ago
