The wine is rich, thick, balanced, nice acid and tannins. Not a fruit forward wine but amazing nose and body. Alcohol is high but balanced. Color is deep gold. The wine maker and his philosophy is amazing. Young guy and doing things his way and the right way. Yields are tiny, production is very small, quality is extremely high, family vineyard. Very special and unique wine. A steal at any price. In comparison to this producer’s roditis, this wine is 87% savatiano and 13% roditis. The wine is more elegant than the roditis. It is clearly a wine that focuses on terroir. I honestly put this as one of, if not the best, Greek wine, have tasted. I can’t say enough good things about this wine. The wine will likely age well because of the skin contact tannins. — 3 years ago
Retsina at the next level. Better described as champagne method with the botanical touch of retsina — a month ago
Golden yellow - straw color. Orange skin. Complexity. Pear. Nuts. Citrus. Slight sweet. Marmalade. Feel viscosity. Tasty. Minerals. Mild acidity. Savatiano Black Lable Georgas Family from Attica, Greece 22 @3632, Toscan, 240928-241017,89 — 7 months ago
A full bodied Greek wine, my first. Notes of pear, and tropical fruits such as pineapple and mango. Has a light smooth finish. Went well with chicken alfredo. @Delectable Wine this is the Savatiano - Sandy’s Shack Imported Wine and Beer. Update! This wine actually tastes better when not so chilled — 2 years ago
Sitting down in a beautiful Greek restaurant
Enjoying a gorgeous spanapitoka.
This is e super traditional grape variety in Attica that used to make Retsina wines in pine wood.
This is a more modern version in stainless steel.
Dry grown 50 to 60 yo vines over limestone.
You can actually taste the character of the variety which goes from floral to peachy and quite citrussy. Full of aromatic herbs, particularly wild fennel.
Very enjoyable table wine.
First time for me with this variety. — 3 months ago

Interesting skin contact #savatiano white. Passion fruit, roasted pineapple, persimmon aromas; glycerin full body texture, some nutty and caramel tones on the palate. I agree with @Austin Hohnke - this is a white wine, not orange. This a sturdy, bold white that stands up well to Indian food - worked nicely with medium spicy chicken bhuna masala. #greekwines — 6 days ago
