Summer in a wine glass. Tastes like warm sunshine kissed fruit with a wonderful lingering Pinot berry mouthfeel. It's so good. And 2017 is now all 100% estate fruit with limited production so get it while you can! Best served slightly chilled but not cold. Room temp is good too. β 6 years ago
Very refreshing, lots of pear and gooseberry, but not too sweet. Perfect on a warm day served chilled. β 7 years ago

2016 Leo Steen Chenin Blanc, sandy Loamy soil, high natural acidity. Aged in steel tanks followed by 4 mos of barrel aging in neutral oak. β 6 years ago
Very powerful on nose and palate when first opened but mellows out. Very herbal on the nose. β 6 years ago
The crowd favorite at lunch. Plush silky texture, with dark red fruits, sassafrass, nutmeg. That combo of complexity and approachability. Yum... β 7 years ago

Tiny estate run by Jerome Gradassi just on about 5Ha, working with simple and minimal work in the vineyard on colder side of the appellation with sandy soil - he delivers small production of great Chateauneuf with much freshness, aged in used oak the wine gain texture and complexity - vines date back to the 70s with mostly Grenache and some MourvΓ¨dre - great value for money it will have very well in the cellar for a few years π β 9 years ago
Perfect patio wine. A little on the sweet side. β 9 years ago
The 2012 is awesome. β 10 years ago
Wow, who knew? I like port so that's a good start - but this has a nice orange chocolate background just perfect to sip for dessert without bring too sweet - love this and I'm not usually a fan of flavored vinos! β 11 years ago
Elk Coveβs sparkling isnβt produced every year, but when it is itβs a stunning sparkler! This vintage doesnβt disappoint. Lovely mousse, strawberries on the nose and delicate toast and berries with lychee in the palate. It is simply delicious. Glad I have another! β 5 years ago
Extremely refreshing and easy to drink. Dry. β 6 years ago
My cold is persisting, so it is going to have to answer to another shot of old peaty. The dark cove is a good quality Ardbeg, but a little boring. The 10 still excites me every time, even after 2 decades of drinking it. Sadly, it does not make as good of a toddy as the Ardbog. I trust the medicinal value is not diminished! β 7 years ago
Excellent with the sea salt caramel gelato dessert. β 8 years ago

One of my TOP TEN WINE EXPERIENCES OF 2014. Simply love this wine! Medium straw, light yellow color; dried apple and mineral in the nose, understated and persistent and eerily deductive; medium bodied; dry, medium acidity, well balanced; tart apple flavors, some slate; medium finish. An amazing dry chenin blanc made in a style unheard of in American winemaking circles. (Best Served: 2014-2017) (Tasted: August 25, 2014, San Francisco, CA) [Sourcing: Vineyard planted in the early 1980's on very sandy soils in the Foxen Canyon district] [Winemaking: Tank fermented, transferred to neutral wood for the winter, racked back to tank for a few months prior to bottlng] [Eric Railsback-Winemaker] #whitewine #cheninblanc #santaynezvalley #centralcoast β 9 years ago

This afternoon was a treat having the 2013 Luciano Sandrone La Vigne Barolo.
On the nose was some alcohol at first that blew off with a little time, cherry, raspberry, strawberry, licorice, tar, clove, rose petal, leather and earth.
On the palate you will find cherry, raspberry, plum, licorice, clove, mint, spice and dusty earth.
This wine is full bodied and a powerful mouthfeel with medium + acidity and medium + to high smooth sandy tannins that leads to a long elegant fruit finish. A beautiful wine that won't disappoint. Enjoy the coming weekend and please stay safe. Nostrovia! π·π·π·π· β 5 years ago
