Fairly fruity on the nose. Hint of black pepper and something earthy/mineral. Flavor is very dry. Dried strawberries and red vines. Classic jammy Zin thing. Some pomegranate molasses perhaps. Let me this clear as possible, Ballast Point Brewery is one of the Best breweries on the west coast, there is nothing they do that is not great to outstanding, this one is great, what over shadows it is "Sculpin" which is Outstanding, so this seems not as good, but please do not be so quick to judge, this one holds up to the style 100%, it is a excellent west coast IPA, big big Centennial hops, maybe some Columbus, seems there is some debate on that, no matter, it had a great Carmel back bone that balances the great hops, it is one beer that stands on its own, Great stuff — 11 years ago

Can't say enough about a wine this serious at this price point. Absolutely stunning, elegant, and even (in a chinon way) powerful. Floral aromatic dominate - lavender and a bit of rose. Graphite, dusty chalk, red pepper, some raspberry. Fresh yet not primary. Hints of savory notes as well. Incredible spine of minerality runs through the palate. Great acidity and structure. Coiler and energetic. Finishes long and bright with refreshing pyrazines for days. In an incredible place now, so no fault in drinking but has a long, long life ahead. 2007 Peter Michael Point Rouge Chardonnay. HB w MnD and J&D B. We loved this wine wine so much at the Heart concert and we loved it tonight. Floral, along with notes of buttery brioche and oak. However, somewhat surprisingly, as we drank this in comp to the 2013 Ridge Monte Bello Chardonnay, it did not win out. Still such a great wine that we really, really enjoyed. — 10 years ago
