Delicioso muy rico con ensaladas y frío — 8 months ago
Notes of dark red fruit, earth, and spice. Light body and medium acidity with smooth tannins. A relatively simple, but pleasant wine. Excellent value at $16. Purchased at Brooklyn Wine Exchange in Brooklyn, NY. — 3 years ago
Really austere at first. Once it opens up a bit - leather, spice box, herbs, dry flowers, plum. A lot of minerality, fruit is in the background. Good stuff but needs time. — 4 years ago
Wow, such a stunning wine. Super juicy northern rhone vibe. — 4 years ago

Soft nose of Indian spices, beef jerky, and dark purple flowers. Upon tasting there is a flash in the pan sensation of Northern Rhone Syrah that continues into a black and blue showcase of perfectly ripe fruit. Lavender is there, violets are there, and also a touch of dried clove. The finish is long with a beautiful continuation of everything that's mentioned above. This is an absolutely stunning expression of Mencia. — 7 years ago
Nez fruit rouge, cerise, fraise écrasée, quelques epices douces, lla matière est fine salivante portée par une belle acidité.

Wine with roasted whole chicken part 2: I used to adore Ribera Sacra, & then moved away with the inevitable rise in price & trend towards more modern styles. Not this. A short decant (45-60) to take the wind out of the Brett sails, & we were off: dense, brambly black fruits on nose & palate, with a distant barn door left open on the nose. Medium plus acidity. It’s the length though that impressed me, along with a freshness (at 13%). Evolves in glass, as if the fruit still has layers. Like a really good chinon. At about 28$, a high end QPR. Eric Solomon imp, interestingly enough. — 2 years ago

The last and probably the best bottle from a lot of four purchased from our local importer. There was quite a bit of bottle variation in our Malaysian importer’s 19’ Envinate release - the Migan’s and Palo Blanco’s were quite the rollercoaster ride - but the Vinas de Aldea seemed to have gotten the good side of the container. Like the last bottle, this was full of floral elegance and tangy energy. Super complex aromas of violets, ripe cherries, sweet herbs, pepper, and a touch of coffee and flint. All finesse on the palate, but has depth too. Sweet red fruits, bittersweet herbs, umeshu, and an absolutely lovely, Mosel-esque slatey minerality; finishing sharp with grippy, chalky tannins. For me it was firmly in that red kabinett territory, and downright perfect with our fatty Angus picanha. Loved it! — 7 months ago

Medium deep ruby garnet with reasonably wide garnet rim . Quite aromática with spiced dark cherry , wild strawberry , cacau touches , fresh herbs also . On the palate quite ripe cherry fruit , with quite refreshing acidity , slightly chewy tannins with a bitter touch on the ok finish . Drink now and over the next 3-5 years — 6 months ago
