Pairing Oregon red with binging Blind Spot on a Saturday night. Clear, moderately extracted red-purple in color. Smoke, black olive and black currant notes in nose. Strawberry, cherry and raspberry flavors in mouth, mild cranberry and black currant tartness in finish, peppery seed tannins with tactile pop on finish. Lactic aftertaste. Good varietal character, this Oregon red that deserves more love. — 6 years ago
