Consistently great value grower pink bubbles. Very crisp and mineral, a bit austere at this point, a lot of the sumptuous fruit has faded to leave chalk, some cranberry, and red grapefruit peel and pith.

For a 25-year-old pomerol…yeah, you could do a lot worse. Classic old aromatics of dried cassis, leather, and hints of menthol, this is an example of why you stow away some wines for a decade or two so you can revisit them on a beautiful Michigan evening. Cheers. — 5 years ago
