Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Rob N
9.3

This wine is a really good value for cabernet sauvignon. Washington wines are generally good value — I like the syrahs — but this cab impressed as well. There was a great fruit bouquet, and not many tannins. I let it get a little too much air on the second day, but the first day was perfect. Parker likes it, 96 pts. $65 — 10 months ago

Enjoyable claret. Juicy lively but jammy. Nice black cherry, some savory notes. Decent length. — 4 years ago

Cara Mia Vineyard Camerata Cabernet Franc Blend 2011

This vintage is actually a Cabernet Sauv-heavy blend and it was delicious! Definitely a highlight of the night. — 4 years ago

Coda Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2017

Dark reddish purple. Inviting nose and medium-bodied palate of red berries, pomegranate, and a hint of toasted nuts on the moderate finish. Medium tannins. Medium acidity. A most typical example of mid-range Washington. The midpoint between New World fruit (but dark fruit) and Old World structure makes for an excellent American food wine. Pair with anything from burgers to roots to prime rib. Just do so by 2027. — 3 years ago

The Bully Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Some of the best deals in Washington wine come from Gorman IMO. Medium body, brambly red fruit, ink, and meat. Still on the young side, but ready after 30 minutes in the glass. — 6 years ago

Crazy Mary Mourvedre 2013

Wow! Still bright, chalky, and full of youthful grip. Red plum, raspberry, lichee and white pepper notes are most dominant. This could easily go another few years and not be at its peak. — 4 years ago

Protagonist Red Blend 2015

Inky black in the glass with loads of cherry, dark berries and toast. I like the weight of this blend. Very jammy with a nice minerality. I'd definitely recommend and try this again. . — 5 years ago
