Pedersdorfer '76 - blend of Traminer, Bouvier, and Neuburger. These old birds just keep on surprising! Granted, '76 was an amazing year but this exceeds expectations, given the mixed success of the producer. A stunning bright gold bar polished with pure sunlight - it runs evenly down the glass - light stickiness matched by a visually tangible layer of acidity. A nose if honeysuckle, pale young limes, rose-hips, and kumquats; gloriously balanced acidity with sparks of fructose and tightly packed bitterness, enveloped in a cloak of freshness and youth. I've had 3-year old wines that have felt older than this 40-year young baby! — 9 years ago

Red fruit city. Acid drive and finesse. Very pretty cherry, red currant and strawberries. There is a very intriguing tannin profile which can only be described at graphite? Lovely and delicate. 93 points seems right. — 11 years ago
Drinking beautifully right now. The nose is of potting soil, perfume and wild raspberries. The palate is dripping with minerals. — 11 years ago

Cedarwood, chantarelle broth and ripe strawberry on the nose. Tastes of ripe blueberry, strawberry, light, old leather, a dash of white pepper and a faint whisper of mint. Delicious but slightly thin on the palate to be one of my all-time favorites. — 10 years ago
So solid... Been awhile #keifeandco — 10 years ago
Rene Bouvier is perhaps my favorite lesser known producer. I'm absolutely in love with his wines, be it a village Marsannay or an aged Grand Cru Échezeaux. And this bottle proves my love right — elegant, cherry pie infused young fruit, deliciously balanced even at this silly age. It's like a kid who can't lie yet — absolutely adorable and very fun to be around with. Please, please try it!
P.S. I am also very happy to be back from my horrible Southern Asia trip where people drink Jacobs Creek and honestly enjoy it. — 10 years ago
Still needs time but the future looks good for this wine. Showing the dark fruit masculinity and richness that typifies Gevrey-Chambertin. However, it does not have the gloriously velvety texture of the 2012 Rene Bouvier from nearby Fixin. — 11 years ago

Silky smooth. The nose takes you into the vinyard... The taste is just divine. A perfect red burgundy. 1.5 hrs after opening still getting better and bigger. — 9 years ago
