2009. Great intense dark core of fruit. Floral and herbal. Really impressive forward fruit and excellent structure. Finessing fruit tannin runs throughout the wine. Really well made wine and over delivers but seems to miss that X-Factor that makes Burgundy Burgundian.. Will develop well and who knows, maybe that X-Factor is hiding. 91+. The + just in case.

Still needs time but the future looks good for this wine. Showing the dark fruit masculinity and richness that typifies Gevrey-Chambertin. However, it does not have the gloriously velvety texture of the 2012 Rene Bouvier from nearby Fixin.
