Hints of plum, slight tannins. Dry! Pair with French pork loin. — 7 years ago
A gentile nose. Musty aromas blow off quite quickly to reveal aromas of fresh red berry compote, candied cherry and a touch of dried herbs and mint. Gentile and juicy on the palate with finely grained tannins. Flavors of red cherry and red raspberry lead to touch of mint, dried herbs, white pepper a spice. This is all balanced out by bright, juicy acidity. The finish is laced with soft tannins and acidity with just a lingering notion of red fruit. Wonderful with a Chicken Parmesan fit for the birthday girl! Happy birthday Kati! — 7 years ago
Lighter red. So good — 8 years ago
Bright, refreshing. Wonderful way to start the evening (yes I know it is white and its Italian) :0) — 8 years ago
Gentile and refined in color and flavor. A little watermelon, apricot and flowers from behind a wispy veil. A beautiful wine. — 4 years ago
Produced with Prugnolo Gentile, a Sangiovese clone, and with small quantities of Canaiolo and Merlot grapes. — 7 years ago
A bit like old Savennières. Hazelnut and quince. A fino sherry note also. — 7 years ago
Really nice, good acid, bright cherry. Yum — 7 years ago
Sea spray to blood oranges...kaleidoscopic! Grand Cru in weight and texture. Long, complex acid finish. One of my white wines of the year! #biancugentile #corsica #leccia — 8 years ago
A beautiful, slightly darker pink in the glass. Aromas of cherry and rose petals mingle with just a hint of wet stone. A very gentile but refreshing frizzante on the palate with tiny, soft bubbles. Distinctively Pinot flavors of soft cherry, raspberry and currant lead to crisp, clean acidity and a drying minerality. The finish is dry and long with just a touch of tannin. A beautiful and different rose. — 8 years ago
Very fresh, with lots of salinity, a bit of stone fruit and a herbal whiff. Medium bodied and quite rounded but with zingy acidity and beautiful minerality. Highly drinkable and very nice, indeed. — 4 years ago
It’s incredible how much better this wine is getting with age. The nose is now reminiscent of blueberry pie along with notes of plums and blackberries. The wine is incredibly soft on the palate with just a touch of spice. Soft, smooth, juicy flavors of blackberries, blueberries and plums lead to gentile smoky notes and touches of spice with soft, round acidity. The finish is long and juicy with a lingering touch of spice. This is a spectacular accompaniment to beef enchiladas. — 6 years ago
