Pipeño

Cacique Maravilla

Pipeño País

Young and silky fruit balanced by a subtle, wise umami bready hit.

Effervescence meets earth. Fun and well-formed, but also shifting with time. A wine for those who've long since run out of love for "fresh" boring berries and oak blasts, that are actually ploughed with additives. This natural one has an opinion about life and is the more beautiful for it.

Can't wait to see what it ages into tomorrow as well, if the 1L bottle lasts that long.

Pipeño Aupa Maipo Valley Pais Cariñan 2021

Light and dry but funky, almost yeasty tannins mixed with berries. Distinct old vine Chilean varietals that I would like to see more of. — 2 years ago

Dama Juana Pipeño

This was a real surprise. A new Chilean Pipeño for me that was really elegant and juicy, with just a bit of that dusty herbal element you might expect. — 4 years ago

Aupa Pipeño País Pedro Ximénez Rosé 2021

More than meets the eye. Looks tutti-frutti, and it is, but shuffles in an extra layer of punchy stuff to play with. As it seems to go with Pipeno....floral, herbal, little complexities and bigger ABVs.

At first strawberry watermelon jolly rancher. Then rose petals and fennel bulbs.

It's simple, but not basic.

Maule Valley Carignan

A lil earthy but still really refreshing. I think I prefer it to the Aupa Pipeño — 3 years ago
