Light, easy to drink. Good with cheese and chocolate — 6 years ago
Notes of sea spray and oyster shell indicating that this was the only GC Chablis in the lineup. In this warmer year the Chablis was harder to pick so I was pleased to be able to do that. Touch of butterscotch and a little salty on the palate. Great to keep its Chablis Integrity in this warm year. — 7 years ago
I didn’t pick up any of the Viognier in here, but fantastic anyways, and peaking for sure. Light strawberry, mushroom-earth, leather, perfectly resolved and feathery on the palate, but still with enough latent power and finesse to leave a long impression. Nice! — 8 years ago
Colgin Tasting - 2006. While it's a Parker 100 wine it wasn't the pick on the day. Still lovely with a velvety well integrated tannin blanket giving the dark fruit a superb base to bind itself to. Excellent length. Now, I've heard people bang on about this wine - 2012, but I know there are mixed reviews. While the diehard Napa peeps have no issue paying big money for this, I wonder if they are buying into the label more than the wine. It's said to be a superb vintage over all. In the glass it was your typical sweeter Bordeaux-esque wine. I'd suggest a little too warm. 2013 (66% Cab, 25% Merlot, and the rest of its friends). Great wine. Time will tell if the discussion of 2013 being better than 2012 will be true in general. But I did enjoyed this a little more than '12. Great length and the same great tannin matrix. Young and chewy, but you know where it's going. She's a keeper. — 9 years ago
Didn't pick it. Need to step up my options game. — 10 years ago
Great price. Nancy's favorite — 6 years ago
One of my favourite Aussie Pinots over the years such that we can usually pick it from its nose - same with Bass Phillip Pinot Noir. The Freycinet has spicy savoury dark cherry bouquet with a touch of caramel oak - the whole bunch influence integrated. Lovely balance on the medium bodied palate finishing with silky tannins. Always in the conversation when discussing Australia’s better Pinots. Made for extended cellaring of 15+ years from vintage. — 6 years ago
Medium plus body and medium plus intensity. Fuller bodied and less herbaceous than the normal Moss Wood Cabernet. Black currant notes. I heard an interview recently with winemaker and owner Keith Mugford who said he is trying to avoid green notes in the wine and would prefer to pick a little later and err on the side of ripeness. I think that’s what happened here and probably more so the following year in 2009. Still a lovely wine. The first of 6 - next one in a year. — 7 years ago
Fresh copious amounts of eucalyptus inhaled, as my nose is encapsulated by my glass.
First sip is elusive. Cannot quote pick which dark fruit/ deep memory I can impart in this review, so I return quickly for another.
Eucalyptus cigars, blackberry seed, tamarind, cedar, cedar, pine box and cedar!
Lingering, is the sadness of winter, in the darkness of this wine, and the acidity that is tempered by that damn lovely cedar.
A touch of heat, yet one has to get burnt every now and then, to see what lies beyond, eh?

Wonderful. Smooth, round, soft, fruity. I get blackberries and vanilla. Can't pick out much else though. Delicious. — 9 years ago
Crusp and light with a grapefruit finish ... Not my usual pick for a white but good summer sipping — 9 years ago
Honestly, if I had this blind I probably wouldn't pick this as clearly superior to other good champagnes. Is it good? Sure. Is it miles above its peers as indicated by its price? Probably not. I enjoyed it anyway, though. — 10 years ago
This wine - more than simply Albariño - offers the scents and flavors of the grapes that make up a quarter of it. An earthy nose masks the floral arrangement one expects. There are some herbal elements there, but more along savory lines. The palate shows apples, peaches and a shovel of the earth of Rías Baixas. Nice acidity and a pleasantly earthy finish cap a wonderfully different style for the region. — 7 years ago
Best merlots around. Soft and fruity. Mild tannins. I get a little hint of herbal. This one was a surprise by a friend. Nice pick — 7 years ago
Initial notes of asparagus showing it’s cool climate origins. This hung around longer than expected. Domaine A is the pick of Tasmanian Cabernets where the problem has always been getting the grapes to ripen sufficiently. From previous examples I expected more from this Wine but still satisfying exhibiting A little black currant with the Capsicum and Geranium notes. After 2 hours it was giving aromas of menthol/eucalyptus. Tasted again 47 weeks later on 27th March 2019 with consistent Notes. Could have been left bank Bordeaux. — 8 years ago
