Diamond Creek Vineyards

Volcanic Hill Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

This is the most fruit I've ever tasted in such a young D.C. Wow. Stylistic change? Phil has been making these wines for 30 years so just curious as to the thought here. However, it's irresistible. — 8 years ago

I definitely think style change. Tasted a bunch of newer stuff next their old stuff. Definitely a change in style.

Crimson Hill Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Aging really well (as of May 2018). Smells a little hot and ripe, but mellower than expected fruit. Cherry and apple crisp, without too much jammy mouthfeel. A lot more finesse than expected. Like watching a linesman who can dance the tango. — 7 years ago
