Light purple with hints of orange and brown. Medium-light body. Opened slightly tightly with notes of cola, earth, and bark. Some air (2 hours) revealed a rose-petal, cherry skin nose, and a lovely jammy palate. The medium to high acidity balances it very nicely. Some earth remained throughout. Very nice - recommended! — 11 years ago
Nose has a lovely soft red fruited perfume with dried rose petal, and a gentle yet intense Chinese five spice, some notes of dried forest floor and a sweet smokiness, incredibly attractive.
In the mouth there is a vibrant, mouth tingling acidity, little discernible tannin and a dry berry finish which is subtle but very long, spice notes still detectable after a minute+. — 12 years ago
2005. Primal nose, very closed. Hints if rose petal, tar, cherry pit and loam. Reminds me of Chiavennasca grapes from Valtellina. — 11 years ago

Started out a little funky with a slight curry and old furniture but started to blow off and developed into a classic Barolo with dried cherry, Rosemary, tobacco and rose petal. Still a baby and needs more time. I am a big fan of this producer! — 11 years ago
