This is a wine from the Pelaverga grape, which I learned was almost extinct decades ago. Reminiscent of Pinot noir with bold contrasts of strawberries and floral notes and an edge of acid and bitters. Level and elegant and also easy to drink. — a month ago
Four out of five first place blind votes. Transparency and a bricking meniscus led us down an aged Barolo path. That was wrong. A Pelaverga ringer that articulates power notes. Crazee delicious and still correct. — 2 years ago
Mid cherry red in colour - translucent in parts. Red fruits of raspberry and strawberry with peppery notes. Good value at $47AUD. Slightly bitter at the end - a great food wine as expected. — 4 months ago
Bob….Congrats. You have found a great wine from an incredible producer. They also makes a white wine from Favorita grapes which have been genetically linked to Vermentino. I love drinking it.
