Tested blind. Hi acidity, lots of pomegranate, bright red fruit, turned earth, slight note of tea. I called it a Morgon, in a good way, but it was missing the carbonic angle. Nice wine!

Darker than the Langhe Nebbiolo and Pelaverga tried on same weekend and more purple than the Langhe Friesa. Compared to Burlotto’s Aves Barbera which is aged in wood, this is a lighter interpretation. Although I understand the best Barbera fruit goes into the Aves don’t underestimate this as it is bright and pure with the same plum accent. Nice
