Bottled in 2017. Needs more acidity to balance the sweetness and concentration, in order to be truly great. — 9 years ago
Oh heck. Dang you garagiste. I've realized it is generally better to order 2 at a time but...this lovely Baden rosé(?!$) is crazy...kerosene plus roses and cherries and maybe mandarins and/or flippin' blackberries o my when I have a good blank slate for it I shall give another write-up. I've at least got one more! bottle — 9 years ago

Slightly buttery but not overly sugary. Definitely would order again and fav of the week. — 9 years ago
Took a minute to open up but once there, unleashed a fine wine for a tough vintage. Would order again... — 10 years ago
Wow: a fantastic beer. Never seen the Grand Cru version of Abbaye de Saint Bon Chien, but it's awesome. Can't quite describe it, but it's a terrific balance across carbonation, sourness, and flavor. Yes, I realize this is a horrible tasting note, so let me put it this way: if you have a chance to drink this, don't think about it, just order it! — 10 years ago

Very light for a Zinfandel. Great for summer. Fills out as you let it breath. Would order again for sure. — 11 years ago
I always seem to screw up and not order nearly enough of this. This one goes more to the smoky, meaty side than the previous release(s), yet still has full court press of black fruit, black licorice, black pepper, and allspice. This wine does take an hour to figure itself out as this one was extremely acidic and somewhat disjointed initially. This wine poured a dark violet to the glass. The nose is black fruit, licorice with a hint of grilled meat, iodine, and a nutty character. The entry is dark black fruit, black licorice, smoke, leather, with plum and grilled meat character in the middle with some allspice kind of character. Finishes with nice acidity and a stiff, toasted tannin on the finish with lots of black pepper and fruit. This wine is on full blast, so make sure your suspenders are on. Gonna try to beg for more of this, as it will still be going strong for a while. @Shay A I think this one has your name on it. — 7 years ago

The coverage of Covey's firing - huge story this evening. I went looking for Petite Verdot - my absolute favorite red - unfortunately I cannot find any , so , I'll need to order more. At any rate, right now, this Cabernet is extremely good, full, berries, rounded, fruity. — 9 years ago
Oh my....so delicious 🤗 We had to order another bottle it was that good 🙈 Nice fruit(raspberry, cranberry), but with a hint of earthiness. So delicate and so well balanced. Easy sipping but excellent depth of flavour. Enjoyed with pizza and burgers at pizza and burger Miami @Rajat Parr — 9 years ago
Solid deep garnet red core. Beautifully complex nose, starting with dark fruits such as cassis. Slightly savory undertones too. Palate is full of fruit not overpowering and is very smooth. Moderate tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Long, lingering, and smooth finish. Can't believe this was a PNP. Drink till 2026. — 10 years ago
In milan at il tavolino. Very smooth with light tannins. Needs to open up a bit but great with italian cuisine. Order for home cellar — 10 years ago
Unbelievable! If you ever see this wine, order it. Tremendous. — 10 years ago
It is strange to find a rosé with the power this one has. It tastes like the right thing, not a crappy thing created to sell just a color. I had it with sushi and maybe it wasn't the perfect combination since its taste was overcoming the taste of the meal, I ended up waiting to finish the meal in order to keep drinking. Will try with meat next time. — 11 years ago
Good Nero for the money! Would def order it again — 11 years ago
Oh my goodness, amazing. — 13 years ago
Wonderful Pinot - low on the tannins - smooth easy to drink-perfect with Trout-
Will definitely order again. — 7 years ago
Complex, full, sweet just right, and complete till the end. I love dry whites but I will order a red if this was on the menu. Well done. — 9 years ago
Excellent wine to share and order over and over. — 9 years ago
#2006 #ScreamingEagle My 1st time tasting this #CultWine & I think it's appropriately named. #Screaming with... Alcohol, Tannins, black & blue fruit, cassis & oak... As if the Eagle swooped down and knocked you over to grab the bottle from your hands. Dark Black/Purple in color. Smokey, brooding, intense. Tobacco, coffee, A definite Food Wine. Not to be taken lightly or sipped on its own. A powerhouse that would benefit from many, many more years in the cellar. Exciting & dangerous like an Eagle... Not for the timid of heart. Don't mess with this chick... She'll take you down! Definitely benefits from decanting. In #2006 #SexyBack by #JustinTimberlake is tipping the charts along with #YoureBeautiful by #JamesBlunt as is #GoldDigger by #KanyeWest & #JamieFoxx .... And I must say... You may need to be a Gold Digger in order to get your hands on this bottle of wine! ;). #Cheers #HappyMonday #ThinkWhileYouDrink #Wino 🍷😎 — 10 years ago
I'm picky about Sauvignon Blancs and this one is phenomenal! Well balanced with fruity aromas! I'd order it every time :) — 10 years ago
A little tart for my usual tastes but so classy I'm rating it well and would order again! — 10 years ago
Welcome to Dr Todd's Wine Bar once again. Tonight we are tasting Elizabeth and Clarke Swanson's 2002 Alexis from Oakville Estates in Napa Valley. It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. The cork has a 3mm ring that is well defined. The legs are 4 seconds. The boquet is that of ripe plums. the initial palate is blackberry currant. There is no tanic boquet or taste. The finish is minimally dry, spicy and tantelizing tonthe roof of the mouth. The middle edges of the toungue are tingling. This is very very very good wine!!! I will try and contact the wine makers and order a case of this beautiful wine! Its most likely not available... — 10 years ago
Had it on 29 Jan 2015, with a good friend. Nice wine; will order again. — 11 years ago
Visited the winery earlier this year and tried this red that we would not normally order and really liked it. On the light side but with some nice fruit and almost no oak and little tannins. — 12 years ago

Absolutely brilliant wine. Dried cherries, spice, and pomegranate on the nose, the palate is utterly fantastic in terms of its balance. One of the best Brewer-Clifton wines we’ve ever had (and just confirms that these wines need to sit for a few years in the cellar in order for them to really shine). Awesome. — 7 years ago
