Poured into a decanter about 30 minutes prior to service and enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2019 San Valentino pours a deep ruby/purple color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and a decent amount of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with sensational notes of Bing cherry, plum, licorice, Palo Santo, varnish, balsamico, exotic spices, and a mix of dried under brush and earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose . The finish is long and there is no shortage of excitement. A wine that simultaneously makes you think and fills you with joy. Drink now through 2034. — 3 months ago
Pale golden yellow color with aromas of stone fruit, citrus and herb spice notes. On the palate flavors of apple with slight citrus and honey notes and herb spice. Good acidity, balance and structure, medium+ finish ending with earthy mineral character. Very Nice! — 8 months ago
Tannins have some nice silky structure. Cherry is full flavored with medium-long length. But boozy of a nose — 5 years ago
The oldest wines appearing on the menu at Villa Baccaris, montforte’ alba are 2000. Beautifully smooth, still complex but are all great old wines in good condition more alike than different? 390 euros. — 2 months ago

Classic amarone: Prunes, figs, raisins, dark chocolate notes with great firm tannins but still fresh and acidity. Brighter than other years but definitely a tasty wine that pairs well with steak or certain desserts. Definitely will try other vintages. — 7 months ago
Medium ruby color with a slight brick rim. Plentiful aromas of purple flowers, asphalt, must, menthol and dried dark fruit. Pallet is more dried red fruit driven along with notes of tobacco and black licorice. Quite acidic and a tannin structure that has mellowed with time. Intense but in great balance. Wonderful and interesting wine. Thank you for sharing, John B! — 2 years ago

Had at Elkridge Furnace Inn 8/'25 with dinner, ~$65. Very rich and full bodied. Strong tannins. — 3 months ago
Flower. slight sweet, bitterness covered by oily pear and muscat. Rounded by 15% Appassimento. Masi Masiamco Pino Grigio 23 @, Vinsemble, 250627 — 6 months ago
Extremely impressive showing from this Barolo - fully integrated and clearly at peak plateau of drinking (likely to continue drinking well for another handful of years but wouldn’t wait) - this was very masculine in style presenting a full bodied palate but the tannins were soft and silky. Meaty, truffle, tobacco with dark dark fruits - certainly worth buying — 8 months ago
