Riesling's are usually too sweet for me, but I love this dry one by Pacific Rim! — 8 years ago

A "boutique"
Wine.com notes:
Pale straw with complex aromas of jasmine and peach. The full bodied wine displays wonderful yeastiness with jasmine on the palate and great minerality. It has a dry, bright finish. Pacific Rim Wallula Vineyard Biodynamic Riesling is an exuberant piece of art and the truest form of Riesling. — 11 years ago
**** Pacific Rim Organic Riesling 2011, white wine. Delicious! Great with taco salad and peanut butter pie ^.^ Honey sweet, balanced acidity, very yummy. From Columbia Valley, WA. Tasted at Squatters downtown Salt Lake. — 12 years ago
Nose of petrol and citrus, more citrus and bright zip on palate. Not overly complex but well structured and quite tasty. Good QPR on this one. — 8 years ago
Loved this for the purity. Strange to get this much acid that far south, appellation is close to the pacific which is the influence. More French in style, mineral and acid on the pallet. Nose was explosive. — 8 years ago
This is a lively Riesling, from a land known more for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. This Sta. Rita Hills Riesling comes from the cool part of Santa Barbara County, so Riesling should figure bigger here than it does, I've always thought. The grapes were grown in the western end of the Santa Ynez Valley, in the transverse valley that sucks in the cool Pacific air and shuttles it inland. The winery says the Sta. Rita Hills region is the southernmost cool-climate region in the northern hemisphere. If this one is any indication, a lot of winemakers are missing the boat.
The pale wine gives a beautiful apricot and peach aroma on the nose, with just a touch of gasoline coming on. I love that part of Riesling with a few years under its belt. The palate has stone fruit, too, and some truly edgy earth from the Lafond estate. — 8 years ago
The best kind of Riesling. Not too sweet but has floral notes. And I like the twist cap so it stays fresher. — 10 years ago

Asher Winery Petite Syrah / Cabernet Sauvignon / Petit Verdot Blend 2012
Dark Ruby in color with a ruby / Purple Rim.
Fruity on the nose with blackberries, blueberries, cherries, Oak, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, earth, forest floor, eucalyptus and black pepper.
Full-bodied with nice legs and medium acidity.
Fruity on the palate with blackberries, cherries, Oak, blueberries, raisins, figs, licorice, Earth, chocolate, espresso and peppercorn.
Long finish with full, smooth tannins and black pepper.
This is a great red blend. Elegant and smooth and great by itself or with grilled meats.
Grapes were hand-picked and are from the Judea Hills, in Israel. From a very small Winery that produces around 2000 bottles a year.
Needs at least 1 hour in a decanter to fully blossom.
I had it with the very hospitable winemakers, which only added to the experience.
Aged for 12 months in French Oak barrels.
