An Olympic Peninsula treat! Tannic with some hints of tobacco and leather. Great with a Montana Elk steak! — 10 years ago
A JK Carriere of momentous proportion, with a decidedly Burgundian sensibility, the 2004 Antoinette opens with expressive aromas of damp tilth, forest floor, roasted game, cranberry compote and rose hips. There is a wildness to this wine that is difficult to pinpoint, solitary treks through pristine forest in the Olympic Peninsula come to mind. The acid, the purity of fruit and absolute terroir shines through. Masculine yet elegant, it finishes with dried herbs, mint and pink peppercorn. — 11 years ago

Olympic tri reward.
Dark, oily, but super fruit. All the richness you expect with strong tannins that are balanced by richness of the finish.
Big, bold and serious.
Loved it. — 11 years ago

Opening night of the Bastion, patron selected, five course, back room restaurant in Nashville. Feeling very privileged and fortunate to be under the guidance of sommelier extraordinaire Chelsea and the staff of passionate chefs behind the round with Josh at the helm. I am not popping my collar but I have been lucky enough to have purely memorable meals in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Italy, France, and in the US. Bastion, with praise, lands on my Olympic podium of memorable meals. Visit soon. I see only 22 seats in the room. — 9 years ago
A Sauv Blanc in the dead of winter!? I know, crazy right? But this Sauv B is more well balanced than a 14 year old Olympic Gymnast. Just a little kiss of honey and melon on the nose gives way to a touch of grapefruit and the smallest hint of kiwi and butterscotch on the tongue, all quickly washed away with a swash of super clean sea water. With a SB this yummy, the snow can stick around all year long. #Azure — 9 years ago

Pure tarte tatin with ropey notes of edenic fruit. Olympic gold. — 10 years ago
Fantastic. Beautiful acidity still present. Plum on the nose. Cranberry. Fig. A bit of menthol. Stone. Almost reminiscent of a brunello maybe? It's opening and transforming at an Olympic pace.. Great spice on the palate. White pepper. And a subtle vanilla finish. — 11 years ago
