Fruity. Smooth. Not my usual but I like. — 3 years ago
Spicy and savory, with a whiff of wild herbs and lemon zest that completes a gorgeous bouquet. Silky on the palate, as ripe melon, hints of lime, minerals and juicy acids keep things lively and fresh, tapering off with inner florals and a hint of sour citrus. $14.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, September 2020) — 4 years ago
Mineral, light citrus and florals aroma. Bright acidity, tangy tongue feel. The wine shined the next day. — 9 months ago

A sparkling Iranian white that is rather on the dry fruity (stone fruits dominate) with a decent acidity... could hold its own against some of the sour beers fashionable these days — 5 years ago
My first experience with a Friulian Pignolo...Wow..what a simply perfect pasta/pizza wine. Nice bright berry red color... medium weight on the palate...smoke, BlackBerry fruit, sweet red fruit and brilliant lively acidity...perfect foil to red tomato sauce and sausage pizza. Only problem being that the balance, refreshment quotient, and cravability mean a single 750 is not enough. Lost the battle w/wife for last swallow! What a great bargain for Saturday night red sauce! — 4 years ago
