Gold Capsule. I love Markus’ version of this and prefer it to JJ Prum as it’s more reserved and less opulent. Stunning yet subtle nose of green apple, pear and peach plus some apricot notes and vanilla extract. Unreal slate and mineral that is so fine and refined. Just a super perfumed nose. Palate has ridiculous energy and acidity with jaw dropping purity and intense acidity. Racy. Really racy. Palate has terrific peach and green apple fruit. Maybe a skoche honeyed but the mineral/acid spine is just incredible here. Light yet intense and built for the very long haul. Brilliant. Really elegant now with air. Amazing. — 3 years ago

Killer confectionary nose of cotton candy, crushed slate, green apple but it’s overwhelmingly confectionary and so so aromatic. Wow. So airy and clean. Breezy like Sunday morning. Juicy and clean with vibrant acidity and lovely lime infused slatiness. Salty, piquant finish and wonderful length. Really elegant and incisive. Love this. — 3 years ago

Pop and pour. Notes from 1 hr open, paired with vegan mapo tofu. On the nose: soft underripe peach, green apple, loads of wet stone, pollen and soft citrus blossom. On the palate: fantastic acidity, green apple, soft honey, peach, just a hint of sweetness. Ok density at the moment...still a bit shrill and needs more time. One of the best producers in the Mosel area for sure. This is to young to drink now but I tasted this at the winery. They served me the wine at 10°. The lady said: sorry that he is so cold.
