I picked this bottle up and put it down trying to decide if tonight was a special-enough occasion. In the end, glad I leaned this way. Perfectly mature, and better than.my past btl from a bit over a year ago. Helped to warm up a couple of degrees above cellar temp. On the nose: damp earth, floral perfume, touch of brown sugar, black raspberry, tea leaves, asian spice...a panoply of flavors. On the palate, lovely acidity, tart cherry, great density, hi-toned wild strawberry, mineral notes, sea salt..fantastic complexity. Tannin still showing grip on the finish, but this is perfect aged red burg for my palate. — 5 years ago
The first of the 2017 vintage.
Nice, but a bit rougher than the earlier vintages. Still a good deal at the price — 6 years ago
Very good! I would have it again 😁 — 7 years ago
Juice! The nose is passion fruit, peaches, and flowers, taste profile is refreshing—strawberries, cucumber, slightly underripe strawberry. Finish is a bit bready. — 7 years ago
Visited Mo at his kitchen tasting room on his vineyard property this spring. What an experience and what a wine this is. 2013 Willamette at its very finest. Pinot, Pinot, Pinot. — 9 years ago

Lemon, grass, passion fruit, great texture — 5 years ago
Topaz with heavenly streamers stretching for perfection. Creamy head of structured perfection in terms of density and longevity. Perfect sheet of fog lacing falls like a slo-mo curtain to reveal layer two of mountain snows reflecting moonlight. Nose of bananas foster in all its blazing brandy and it’s caramelized olfactory topography; a malt image in sensory sepia to match the mountainscape. Nutmeg, cola and pecan dessert vies with baklava. The palate is a revelation in balance. The expected Belgian malt emerges in contrast to a dappled vanilla and Connecticut tobacco, pecan shell dryness, and chicory coffee before returning to a root tonic sweetness, and cardamom. #kwak #belgianspecialbeers #belgianale #belgianbeer #pauwelkwak #pauwelkwakbrewery #beer #bier #birra #biere #ale #ceveza #cerveja #belgium #belgian — 5 years ago
Tried it chilled at the suggestion of the wine shop. Fruity. Refreshing. Interesting. Very different. — 6 years ago
Girl computer Cru Bourgeois. You guys. Get into the Cru Bourgeois it doesn’t mean you are bougie (which Merriam-Webster just decided to include in their dictionary so if you don’t know what I mean...look it up), it just means you have high standards and a way with bargains. Consummate old world. It’s all like hi I’m all dark berries and black currant and violets and we’ve been having a party with our buddy tar but hidden in a pencil box because we are supes into graphite. Fuck this ink nonsense we like stones and lead. This wine is badass but it really would like some food too methinks. Earth and cassis. I’d very much like a mushroom pizza on the side. — 7 years ago
An amazing wine, and an amazing restaurant! — 9 years ago
A very nice.summer syrah. On the nose: loads of red berry fruit, a touch of oak spice, cola, very bright and still very primary. On the palate: loads of cracked black pepper spice, hi-toned red fruit, juicy and weightless. Juicy on the finish, which shows just a touch of finely grained tannin. Very nice for drinking now. — 5 years ago
A great bottle gifted from, @Mo Salem’s cellar - thank you, bro.
We tipped a glass while we discussed the next phase of our renovations.
This wine is rich, contemporary and tightly wound. Notes of strawberries and forest floor on the nose. Tannins are underripe, but well assembled. Nice notes of barrel toast and coffee on the mid-palate. Finishes with sweetness, tobacco, focus and precision. This is a cellar buy. — 6 years ago
First of the 2016 vintage for me. Same blend as 2015 (65% Malbec 18% cab franc 17% Merlot). Seems a bit jammier and a bit smoother than 2015. — 7 years ago
Very dense ruby. Pronounced aroma. 1st nose of blackcurrant jam, wood followed by earth, spices, grass. Fresh & bit of flowers. Development w/ black fruits, pencil shavings & black lead. Blend: ~70% CabS. Vibrant rich full-bodied palate supporting the nose. Lively tannins, good acidity. Still looks young in 9 yrs age but can drink now. 2nd label of 2nd growth Château Ducru Beaucaillou from separate & distinct vineyard. Blended during 1st racking. Matured for 12 mo in 20-40% of new barriques. Rating 4,1/5 — 8 years ago
