2007 Peter Michael Point Rouge Chardonnay. HB w MnD and J&D B. We loved this wine wine so much at the Heart concert and we loved it tonight. Floral, along with notes of buttery brioche and oak. However, somewhat surprisingly, as we drank this in comp to the 2013 Ridge Monte Bello Chardonnay, it did not win out. Still such a great wine that we really, really enjoyed. — 10 years ago
It was sweet but nice change from a dry wine. — 11 years ago

2020 fall. Consistent with other recent bottles. I find this style very drinkable (which you would figure considering how much we’ve been putting away), and it’s quite versatile, but as someone who doesn’t generally like oaky wine outside of old school Rioja (and white Burgundy to a point), I have to remember to avoid pairings that make the oak taste bitter — 6 years ago
Monthly WTF wine group tasting. This month’s theme was chardonnay from any region or vintage. Nice eclectic bunch! All wines tasted blind.
Winner of the “biggest imitator”. This was very ripe, as though the wine was meant to be made a certain way. I think the entire group called this new world. Good bit of oak in play here, alongside melon, apple crumble pie, and hardly any acidity. Typical baking spice notes of nutmeg and vanilla too. May be starting to oxidize a bit, which probably gives this some complexity. Thanks @Michael Rariden . — 6 years ago
Big and fruity. Light to medium tannins. Good. — 7 years ago
Can't say enough about a wine this serious at this price point. Absolutely stunning, elegant, and even (in a chinon way) powerful. Floral aromatic dominate - lavender and a bit of rose. Graphite, dusty chalk, red pepper, some raspberry. Fresh yet not primary. Hints of savory notes as well. Incredible spine of minerality runs through the palate. Great acidity and structure. Coiler and energetic. Finishes long and bright with refreshing pyrazines for days. In an incredible place now, so no fault in drinking but has a long, long life ahead. One of the best values in the wine world. Just exceptional — 9 years ago
