Will be a great accompaniment to the iberico pork pluma! — 6 years ago
After a few hours open: Looks like Nebbiolo. Menthol on the nose and some peppery spice, pencil shavings a bit. Tart red fruit and serious umami meatiness like iberico ham. Tannins aren’t overpowering, but haven’t had a younger bottle so I guess its the age? I want more of this. — 6 years ago
I bought this wine in Toledo during my UCL trip in Spain because I saw many restaurants in Seville, Toledo, & Madrid have this wine in menu and on display.
Dark & fresh ruby red color with very nice aromas of red cherry and cool herbs on the nose. Full-bodied together with savory flavors of ripe & fresh red cherry, vanilla-mocha, and spicy tobacco on the palate. Conplex & strong structure, nice & solid tannins, and reasonable length on the finish. Perfect wine to pair with iberico & cheese. — 7 years ago
Lots of red and dark berries, dusty earth and very fine tannins. Balanced with good acidity. With air very pure cherry gets center stage. Absolutely great bit feminine Rancia entering it's early drinking window. Worked the treat with grilled iberico. — 8 years ago
Absolutely loved this Tempranillo! Had it at Graderia in San Sebastian. Went well with the Iberico platter and aged steak. Just was not sure which vintage it was. — 9 years ago
Light body, fragrant fruity bouquet. Very tasty with nice rounded finish. — 4 years ago

Incredibly complex 30 year Oloroso from Bodegas Tradicion. Bought this after a great tour and tasting at Tradicion. It’s definitely the best sherry I’ve ever tasted. Dried and apricots, burnt orange, bitter orange peel, toasted hazelnuts, caramelized brown sugar sea salt and chocolate with a beautiful acidity and drive on the palette. Would pair this with jamon iberico, toasted nuts, and a nice salty cheese. Just stunning. — 7 years ago
Wife likes it a lot. That's all that matters. — 9 years ago
Surprised by the complexity of this blend. Catalonian Grenache and Carignan. Went well with the jamon iberico but especially the mackeral kimchee wrap. — 9 years ago
The Clos de l’Obac 2006 Miserere is composed of 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Garnacha, 26% Tempranillo, 10% Merlot, and 10% Carinena. It is a fruit forward, supple and ripe, medium bodied Priorat. Great with a lunch with various cheeses and iberico ham ‘pata negra’ — 4 years ago
From the Sventoni/della Seta families estate with some 200 years of winemaking history; this Nobile is clear purplish ruby; dark fruits, some dried, coffee, nuts, salty herbs and some ’charkuts’; medium-everything for structural components and alcohol but mouthfilling and long on the finish. Not very complex but well made and good with our Beemster, Delice, and dried iberico filé. — 5 years ago
9/19. Very nice Cab/Merlot (50-50). Dark purple, feels good on the palate. Paired well with the Iberico pork loin — 7 years ago
Rain, hail, 7 degrees Celsius in May. Time for some fire and toro wine! Some iberico ham and bang we are back in Spain. Purple red. Almost black in the middle. Big nose: figue, almondpaste, hay, cedarwood, pipe tobaco, chocolate. Wow in the mouth. Big Bold taste which finishes over the minute. — 7 years ago
Perfection with our jamon iberico and clams and mussels and octopus rice — 8 years ago
Perfect acid and fruit and biscuits. Delicious with Jamon Iberico chips... — 9 years ago
Awesome wine with my iberico grilled pork! — 9 years ago
Nicolas Greinacher
From vines planted in 1921. Deep ruby colored, the nose reveals pronouned aromas of fresh blueberries, blackberries, black plums, ink, graphite, mint as well as vanilla, cedar wood and dark chocolate. The full bodied palate is packed with ripe and smooth tannins, high fruit concentration and refreshing acidity. Quite bold and muscular, leaving a long aftertaste. Drink now until 2036. — 4 years ago
