Love mazzocco wines. I find they hold up nicely & I’ve never been dissatisfied w/ any corkiness or inconsistencies. Have had a few Stone vineyard Zins & they are huge, red berry bombs but I never feel “heat” from 15.5% alc - unlike some big zins. If I ate red meat, I guess I’d recommend for a large NY Strip & grilled onions...but had to suffice w/ some tallagio cheese/crackers! — 3 years ago
2012 very tannic, robust Zinfandel. smells/after taste of cherry and licorice — 4 years ago
Really enjoy these zins from Mazzocco. You can drink on their own without needing to put with food. — a month ago
A serious gripper, this wine is high on the tannin scale. I had the 2018 and it seems like it might need another couple of years to mellow out. However, I do love these dry, “gripping” wines, so this in getting a 9 from me. — 3 years ago
Delicious! Will say more later but worth buying! — 4 years ago
Dark berries. Notes of leather and tobacco. — 6 months ago
I’ve posted these before - Mazzocco wines are a stable, consistent treat. Nice, milk chocolate/vanilla richness & finish. I’ve never found one that disappoints. — 2 years ago
Drank for Caroline’s bday. June got it from a friend. Was very smooth! — 3 years ago
This is delightful, surprised this isn’t a reserve offering from them. Beautiful tannin structure with bramble fruits, almost like biting in to a blackberry pie. Not sure of the varietal make up of this wine, but I assume there is some petit Verdot in it. Beautiful wine! — 4 years ago
