Has a beautiful ruby color!
Nice fragrance of dark cherry, raspberry, ripe berries and chocolate with a hint of spices.
Drinks nicely with soft tannins with a bit of pepper & spice and finishes with some dark berries on the palate. The more it breathes the smoother it becomes... — 5 years ago

Had a couple of these “Blue Boys” in my cellar. Mollydooker (Aussie for left-hander) Wines was established in 2005 by Sarah and Sparky Marquis. Dark Ruby with big dark berry fruit nose adding sweet spice and cedar. On the palate this wine has complex flavors of blackberry and blueberry with cacao, oak and vanilla. Fine dusty tight tannins, peasant mouthfeel, full-bodied, long ending with a nice spicy finish. Aging well, good now, has room to run. — 5 years ago

I found this wine balanced. I had it with surf and turf, and it was a good pairing — 10 months ago
Probably my favorite rose (so far). Fresh and fruity, yet still a little dry. — 4 years ago
This is definitely an extra dry. The champagne starts dry and finishes dry. In between there is nice green apple. A very nice drinking champagne!!! — 5 years ago
Impossible de retrouver le terroir du jura, c'est très bourguignon et vraiment délicieux! On peut penser à un beau blanc de la côte châlonnaise. — 8 years ago

The 2016 Château Marquis d’Alesme hasn’t budged a bit since I last tasted it around four years ago. It remains a stoic, savoury Margaux with a herbaceous character and underlying inky, tangy fruit. It’s still quite shy, scarcely changing on the second night, and probably much too young still for enjoying.
Back goes the case with a big ‘do not touch’ stamp – probably for another four years.
