Gramolere Barolo Nebbiolo 2018

Etheric, tight(but in the good sense). Approachable but will definitely improve with bottle age — 22 days ago

Castelletto Barolo Nebbiolo 2016

Deep woods, dirt, blood, on the nose . Lots of blue/red fruits. A bit tight, I PnP, gave it a good 45 mins out. I get some wood… now that could be my weird post covid mouth….or not.
A ‘16 from Castelletto, lush and forward, but I sense lots of aging potential. I have 1 more. No rough edges, a bit of acidity on the back which is nice and lifting.
Tannins nicely integrated and fine. Manzone’s site only indicates neutral casks, not what wood specifically.

Bricat Barolo Nebbiolo 2004

Excellent wine with some fruit mainly strawberries and some earthy elements. Very smooth and integrated with a long finish. Think it would have been a bit better with some time but it was opened and poured.

Rosserto Langhe Rossese Bianco 2015

Vegetal green aloe and barely noticeable smoke; like distant forest fire. Or like a great Tobala Mezcal. Apples, tangerine, plush. — 5 years ago

Riserva Rocche dell' Annunziata Barolo Nebbiolo 2001

Incredible. With this age it starts to become drinkable. A big boy. But elegant at this stage. — 3 months ago

Langhe Nebbiolo 2017

I’ve been enjoying opening young inexpensive Nebbiolo the last week. It’s a fun contrast to the aged Nebbiolo I have that seems to be in a slump. Tannic but also cherry and energy. After a few days it tastes aged, with tobacco and spice predominating, but alas the tannin did not recede. — 4 years ago

Le Ciliegie Barbera d'Alba

Very smooth. It went very well with pasta, olives and shrimp with a light sauce. The blend of flavors was perfect. — 7 years ago
