Macedon Ranges Pinot Noir 2007

Always one of my favorites. Not the greatest vintage but still delightful at 14 years old. Thoroughly enjoyed it! — 4 years ago

Central Highlands and Ranges Pinot Noir

Extremely young, it feels like whole bunches were used it.
Crunchy, vibrant even a little too hard.
I reckon it will smoothen down with a bit of time, but I still prefer the Doug''s vineyard.

Sour red cherries, wild strawberry, horse shit, mushrooms. Wild acidity. Years ahead of it. Fresh. Vital. — 8 years ago

Hunter-Gatherer

Macedon Chardonnay 2013

Upcoming producer from the Macedon Ranges. Great Chardy. Textural! Leesy! Persistent! Yum!

Fruit from two vineyards near Kyneton. Barrel fermented. Little new oak. No racking of gross lees. Lots of battonage.

Curly Flat

Macedon Ranges Pinot Noir 2015

Curly Flat never fails to bring joy to my life. I recall tasting this vintage pre-release at the end of a long lunch on a brutally Victorian winter’s day just before Jeni kindly drove my partner and I to the airport (a story unto itself). I recall the striking vitality of the wine, a contrast to the perfumed ‘14 and more delicate, fine-boned ‘13. It’s no shy wallflower, for sure, with proper acid and structure and weight. That whole-bunch character comes through beautifully, without even a hint of unripe vegetal notes. This one coerces rather than seduces, but it’s nonetheless convincing. Happy to have another bottle or two stashed away, as there’s much more to come from this one. — 4 years ago

Composition Pinot Noir 2008

Holding up great, this has plenty of fruit and terrific balance of acid. Black tea and earth flavors in abundance on the medium-long finish. No hurry to drink the other two bottles in the rack. — 5 years ago

@Ron R You're probably gonna find it hard. The winery's just started - few shelves in Australia have it right now. Though you might have better luck nailing down the Granite Hills riesling. So good.

Pinot Gris 2016

Softly fragrant nose that leads into a delightfully bristling and concentrated palate of fresh green apple, Turkish delight, florals and soft spices that lingers with a tinge of grapefruit tang on the finish. Lovely. — 7 years ago

Dixon Pinot Noir 2013

Holy moley, what a gratifying wine. Uniquely farmy, bloody, tarpauliny, fruity nose- full blown Hermann Nitsch tableau- but follows that with a beautifully deft drink. — 7 years ago

Cope-Williams

Macedon Chardonnay-Pinot Noir Blend

Cope-WIlliams doesn't get enough heat in Australia! Up there with some of the best sparkling producers. Huge repository of wines from older vintages. Current NV is blend of wines dating all the way back to 1988 (need to verify tho). Ridiculous nose, complex, long. Yum! — 9 years ago
