Tasted 1/20/2017 At UGCB 2014 Vintage tasting in Miami. At the Biltmore.
Mixed black and red fruits on the nose, with a firm palate of cassis, earth, and and some wood. Nose a little more subdued, and lacking some of the richness of the Beychevelle at this stage, but this seems built to age and will likeley develop with time.

This is drinking so well with little decant. Great relative value!

Solid vintage from one of my favorites. Black cherry with a little bit of vanilla. Great nose but surprisingly not as full bodied as I thought it would be. — 11 years ago
Last bottle! Being discontinued at the restaurant — 13 years ago
Finally had. Very little to no acid. Went great with Carmel dessert — 6 years ago

Dark ruby, bright, doesn’t look it’s age. Awesome funky old Cal Cab nose. Notes of cherry, cranberry sauce, dirt and some balsa wood. Some steminess. Great perfume. Nice in the mouth but missing just a little bit in the mid palate. Really enjoyed this. — 7 years ago
Such a pleasure, soft and gentle fruit. Can still taste a light touch of oak. Probably a little over the top now but delicious nonetheless — 8 years ago
Ripe cherry nose with subtle earthy notes. Just a hint of the merde. Really interesting, a little funky. — 8 years ago
Black currant, coffee and a little violets. — 9 years ago
A good Shiraz. Would buy it again. Reminds me of the Yellowtail brand. Mmm — 10 years ago
Unique blend. A little sweet. Good table wine. Not for everyone though. Kinda breaks the rules of red wine. — 10 years ago
Decanted for four hours. My least fave of the 5 86 Firsts. A little disjointed. — 11 years ago

Grazie mille! Nice vintage. A little young and could have used some more air. With roasted chicken legs and greens. — 6 years ago
