Time in the bottle deserves an aerated skinny-dip slow-pour dive into the decanter where this sun-tinged beauty in hiding lounges in wait, but for an occasional spin and swirl, as the soft sensual breezes (in Kailua) share the air opening her gradually as she swims her way towards the edge for an elegant dive into my glass, another swirl as her darker exterior opens a bit further glistening as her erotic scent encourages my pulling her towards my mouth where, as I breath her in, she backbends and her silky wetness gingerly but openly touches my lips. I am both bewitched and enchanted by her unctuous complexity, so, I take a small bite and we continue the dance...
to be continued - "spill the wine, dig that girl..." - lots of spice, red fruit, vanilla and wet earth🍷🕶🌀 — 9 years ago
She catches the eye slim with dreamy curves, darkly dressed complimented by earth-toned loosely falling ribbons. Gripping her firmly with one hand sliding finding her neck the other slowly pulling her upward she opens wet and her pale gold to yellow juice easily pours lightly, rhythmically dancing, ebbing and flowing revealing a subtle essence of ripe peach and flower petals against moist grass and wet stone, then she lunges spilling across your lips leisurely coating your mouth front to back with an orange essence her tannins gently grip, then she slowly slips on and away, "into the mystic..." and you wonder , will she come again...?
PS: particularly good with fresh whole slightly crispy sardines, cherry tomatoes and chilled organic cucumber all sprinkled with hot Hungarian paprika... — 10 years ago
I've been waiting on this for a few years now. This...this wine is my sh*t. When this hits your lips, you know it's something special. Reminds me of the 2001 Whitehall Lane Reserve Cab. The masters of Jumilla Monastrell, the Gil Family has created something so freakin good that it becomes harder & harder for us retailers to get our hands on it each year. Such small allocations are distributed amongst us in CT that when they drop it off, it exits the building. This is the demand we have created & it is so worth it. Just my opinion of course. Monastrell & Cab blend with loads of dark plum, dark berries smothered in black pepper, brick and ash flavors. Almost like pit smoked bbq in your mouth without the wet wipes for clean up. — 10 years ago
Medium garnet sweet nose of strawberries and cream caramel. Drinking incredibly well for a 2009. Makes me think this winery is more of a modern style Barolo. Has racy acidity and good fruit, tannins are pronounced with a tea bag sensation but balanced on the whole. Renews my faith. — 10 years ago
Big sweet malty, med-heavy body, moderately-heavy bitter. Excellent heavy brew without food. — 11 years ago
Luscious undertones of lips, high cheekbones and tattoos combined with a subtle sense of humour and an addiction to robbing casinos. — 11 years ago
This bottle restores my faith in terroir driven Chardonnay. Magnificent wine, powerful and muscular in the way a great dancer instead of a weight lifter. Tastes of the chalky soil, bright fruit, snappy acidity and long lingering finish with hints of hazelnut on the end. Stunning — 12 years ago
One of the best value wines I've ever had. Some Young Punks was on The Wine Show so I thought I'd give it a go. Fantastic wine — 9 years ago
This fine thing pulls me in as I breath her earthen essence faintly fragrantly post-rain flowerlike wet, dripping a whiff of some distant weed working its way around the corner as a horn player lays out a rhythm to which we dance turning, twisting, eyeing discriminately she shows her plum-to-burgundy rim, then goes deeper, as she lightly touched my lips showing red fruit unctuously lava-like clinging leaving a ripe plum-like memory touched by cassis long and lasting begging for more - so we continue...amazing locally-farmed, open-water oysters... — 10 years ago
One of my favorite dry hopped sours. — 10 years ago
I *really* like this one. It's like a cocktail of all my favourite things out of a white. Chewy, fresh, slightly effervescent. No tart aftertaste... but instead a salty, buttery residue on my lips. Leaves you with an almost sexual tingling; wanting more. — 10 years ago
A standout at the @lastellawinery spring release, the 2014 Vivace Pinot Grigio shows grace and restores my faith in this grape.
Bartlett pears without over-sweetness, lingering finish with a hint of spice. Fantastic balance.

#2005 #LaGeynale #Cornas #RobertMichel My favorite grape, #Syrah from my favorite region, #NorthernRhone ❤️ The Deep, dark purple/red color seduces you before your lips even touch the glass. "You had me at Hello..." (is what I may have said out loud actually) 😊. This wine is like a tall, sexy, brooding man with all the right moves😗😘. Once you taste it there's really no turning back... Savory, lightly spicy, rustic yet refined at the same time... This is a very unique and gorgeous bottle of wine. Unlike any other Cornas I have tried. Touch of funk dancing gracefully with the big tannins and perfectly round dark fruit... Such a smooth ride. I feel sorry for any other wine trying to win you over on the same night as him... & he will only get better with age👌😉 #Betony restaurant #ThirstyThursday #HappyGirl #Cheers 🍴🍷 — 11 years ago

Rarest, most valuable Barossa Mataro, magnificent too. — 13 years ago
Really aromatic. Dry on lips. Taste of sun-dried tomatoes. Great with lamb and tzatziki. — 9 years ago
Sooo good. — 9 years ago
Pours a light golden color that darkens as it gets to the rim and is fairly aromatic. Waxy, cottony and floral nose, like those red candy lips I used to buy when I was a kid. Sweet on the palate but still has a decent amount of acidity to show off the sweet peach and nectarine flavors. The finish drops pretty suddenly but I paid something like $11 for it and it is recommended. — 10 years ago
Delicious - a beer that lives up to the New Belgium name - Like Rodenbach but not as sour. 2015 — 10 years ago
The cork came right out. It had a 5mm absorption line. The color is dark purple. The legs are fast - 3 seconds. The boquet is coffee beans and a slight tannic blueberry sharpness. The initial palate is chocolate, coffee, and immature blueberries. The finish is dry and affects the roof of the mouth and lips rather than the tongue. This is a good house wine!

$25 at the local store does not start to do any justice for this beast of a wine. Daou is a medium to heavy Cabernet that spells of dark ripe sex fruit. Blackberry, blueberry, black courrant...oh fucking my! After tasting Daou's zesty finish, one will require the jaws of life to unlock purple lips from this delectable monster. — 11 years ago
1937 Lafaurie-Peyraguey: seventy-eight years had nothing on this still-fresh show-stopper. Lucid amber color, tangy marmalade-tinged flavor, medium-weight that is not tiring to drink at all. Threads the needle with perfect balance of honeyed intensity and bright acidity. One of the best #Sauternes ever to grace these lips. The perfect #wine when the wolves of life are howling outside your door. — 11 years ago
Classic nose of ocean air, lemon smacking and hangin on my lips, slight sour component on the edges of your tongue but nothing unpleasant. Long finish, perfect for summer! — 11 years ago
It's like a man that comes on strong to try and impress, yet once it hits your lips, his feminine side starts to show and he wins you over with his balance of manhood and sensitivity. — 12 years ago
Holy Mother of Jerez Son of a Biscuit Eating Motherless Goat!! This is so unique, weird, delicious. Could literally sip just enough to wet the lips all day long. This makes aged fernet seem worthless and sterile. @steviestacionis @nopasf — 13 years ago

I give the wine a 9.3..... but I give myself a 5.3 because this is WAY too tannic to open before a decade of ageing. Pucker up poopy pants, because my lips are pursed. — 9 years ago
