I thought this was one of rhe best German pinots I tasted at a recent wine club meeting focused on German wines. — 6 years ago
Light & elegant - with fresh, juicy acidity and quite surprising grip (big wood). Tart raspberries and red currants, a touch of spice. Beautifully balanced. — 7 years ago
Great unfiltered wine at the price. Will get again. Good year round selection for our warm climate in NOLA — 8 years ago
Really nice citrus, stone, and some of the ramonet mint action — 9 years ago
Richer, denser, with more weight yet still very fresh, very fine and with loads of character.
Cherries & cranberries galore with touch of undergrowth, mushrooms and herby spice.
On the palate this is not that light, with slightly chewy yet very juicy tannins, brilliant acidity, a tea like mouthfeel. Complex, layered, elegant. This is quite exceptional! — 4 years ago

Look at that Fucking color. Yes that is what Pinot is supposed to look like. Gorgeous. Unreal nose. Sour cherries, dry leaves, pinpoint precision. Takes 45 minutes to an hour before the symphony begins. But the unfurling and aromatic nuances are just gorgeous. The fruit is almost non existent on the nose the first 15-30 minutes then BAM! Palate is just amazing. Red Riesling on another level. This showing reminds me of Möbitz. It’s so ethereal and lacey. Stunning. Amazing delicate and refined red cherry fruit. More mid to early season cherries and gloriously juicy and perfectly ripe. This is so fine. Velvety and delicate Lacey tannins weave in and out of the finish. Stunning almost silly freshness. Stellar. — 6 years ago

A genius Klingelberger. What a nose. So floral. Flower shop levels. Little shop of insane dry Riesling. Gorgeous Mosel like fruit. Smells ripe and sweet but also bone dry. Green apples. Pear. Apricot. So vivid and detailed. Just wonderful. Lime blossom, sweet lime. Endless aromas. Fresh field level 10. But also rock quarry. Staggering young Klingelberger aromas. Palate is epic like a Norwegian Viking documentary epic. Dense, structured, deep man is this deep with just stunning purity and freshness. So vivid and so detailed. This is god level balance. So long. Never ends. The purity of this wine is just incredible. Amazing finesse and elegance and screamingly mineral and very very complex on the finish. This is a staggering young Klingelberger. 9.7. Yup. Just genius. Amazing concentration and depth. Really I can’t get over how good this is. — 5 years ago
A cold, rainy day in the Berkshires today, several degrees cooler and we'd be getting snow instead. I'm not ready, still yardwork to get done this season!
A head-to-head matchup today, '15 vs. '16 E&M 'Müller' Müller-Thurgau. This '15 is our last bottle, so this is the final evolution check. 😕
No evidence of dissolved gas (CO2 or N2) in this bottle like the '16 showed, but it got a decant anyways. Gold-yellow in color, distinctly different from the '16 today.
Nose has smoked honey, almonds, tropical fruit skins, extra ripe mango and light aroma of crushed minerals.
Palate has gotten crazy complex, honey, stone fruits, pineapple core, tangerine, lemon pith and mashed tropical fruit. Evolving more with each sip, finish is picking up a nice apricot note.
Wow what a difference the extra year makes. Likely we're hiding the remainder of our '16 away for maybe a year or two, hopeful on a similar evolution. — 7 years ago
