Valençay Rouge Gamay Blend 2016

35% Gamay, 35% Malbec, 30% Pinot Noir
Rich red and black fruit aromas (cherry blackcurrant per the label) and undertones of flintiness. A rich body with tart cherry acidity, ripe blackberries, a lot of spices and flinty minerals to give it a dark side. Yum!!!

Marlborough Pinot Noir 2019

Deep Ruby with purple edges, aromas of dark fruits, herbs and spice. On the palate flavors of cherry, plum and licorice with spicy notes. Medium finish, dusty tannins, vivid acidity ending with fruit and spice. — 3 years ago

This was a head scratcher. Don’t think I’ve had a wine like this. It wanted to reveal white chocolate and marzipan, but instead it tasted like green tea/chamomile coated almonds. It had some buttered pear and honeyed melon notes on the finish...very unique. — 6 years ago

It was definitely interesting. I’d like to try it again alongside similar wines to truly see what the style is they are going for.

Limited Edition Very Old Single Harvest Porto 1961

1961 vintage. Great nuttiness and caramel notes. Lacking the back end oomph of vintage port. Still, pretty quaffable. — 7 months ago

My 2nd favorite 20 yr behind Grahams. Ramos Pinto is good as well, but seems to have to bottle to bottle variability issues…. Taylor is a great standby at a good price. — 4 years ago

Moulin-à-Vent Gamay 2014

This is Beaujolais like you never tasted it before, I guess, decanted for 60 min, color deep red, nose deep dark berries, not the raspberries juice with banana notes, this is wine, needs time, after some hours it still kept the balance , awesome☄️☄️ — 4 years ago

Mary Taylor Costieres de Nimes Red Rhone Blend 2017

Supple, jammy, silky mouthfeel, grapefruit, reminds me of the smokey charcoal of a Vacqueyras and the fruit of a luscious Pinot.

A recommended Rhône from the local shop owner on 23rd street.

A bouquet that brings the memory of clementines.

A shimmering pool of maroon silk.
