Beautiful a bit sweet with vanilla notes, Oakey, pear green apple. — 6 years ago
While history of Failla (pron: FAY-la) is short it is not without its complexities. Founded as Failla Jordan in 1998, it took its name from the husband-and-wife team of winemaker Ehren Jordan and fellow debtor Anne-Marie Failla. That year they planted vines but began buying fruit to make wine. Fresh fruit aromas with citrus and honey scents. On the palate melon, pineapple and lemon zest flavors with light toasty notes. Savory, well balanced on lingering finish, great mouthfeel ending with mineral tones — 8 years ago
A baby 2015 Pinot from the Keefer Ranch. I really like this. It is less fruit intense than many CA pinots and its drinking nicely this young. I get some Syrah notes here. I opened it 2 hours before pairing it with duck. Thank you @Ehren Jordan — 8 years ago

Study sesh!!!! Wine of the night is a GG (grosses gewachs) Riesling wine from Pfalz, Germany. 🇩🇪

👁This wine has a medium lemon hue. This wine is clear with subtle effervescence.
.
.
👃 The nose is clean. This wine has pronounced intensity of developing aromas including tart apple, apricot, lemon, lime, pineapple, gooseberry, elderflower, honeysuckle, honey, and wet stone.
.
.
👄 This wine is dry and medium bodied. The acidity is high. The alcohol is medium. This wine has pronounced intensity of flavors including tart green apple, lemon peel, lime, apricot, passion fruit, gooseberry, wet stone, and honeysuckle. The finish is medium(+).
.
.
Quality of this wine is very good. It is very good because it has strong balance of acidity and fruit characteristics. It has a good length and intensity of aromas. It could be improved with greater complexity and tertiary flavor development that would increase the honeyed and dried fruit flavor potential. This wine may be consumed now, but will benefit from more time in the bottle.

16.1% alc.
A typical Turley from their "higher octane days" under Ehren Jordan (I think Tegan (current winemaker) is pulling ripeness levels down a bit these days) this is showing nice classic Zin spiciness on the nose and very ripe fruit, sweetness/glycerin + some VA on the palate.
For a wine/style that was probably not intended to be cellared it is holding up nicely at age 12 and actually gained in the glass after 60+ min.
I would opt to drink up (or for fun hold for 30 more years and throw it in blind with 2003 Burgundies/2009 CNDP).
