A really good red blend. Rich, fruity Cabernet forward wine with a great finish. — 5 years ago
Wish I had more of these in my cellar. Drinking great w an impeccable balance of black fruit, savory and mildly spicy elements. Fully resolved texture, and vibrantly alive, this could take more time in cellar. — 6 years ago
Grapefruit, lemon candy, apricot, apple, slate and blood orange. Electric acidity and great minerality. — 7 years ago
Pretty good, a little sour at first though — 8 years ago
Quite amazing 2004 Pinot — 8 years ago
Bold Cab with a smooth finish. Recommend with red meat or big flavor dish. — 11 years ago
Not as brooding as the '08, but beautiful fruit finishing with minerals. Lots of evolution in the glass. — 11 years ago
Loving this, it's a Pinot with all the elements I love in Cayuse — 13 years ago
Mineral grapefruit rind in the nose, body has nice texture holding grapefruit and lemongrass to a medium long finish — 9 months ago
Dry, but not flinty, with a touch of fruit and a lot of minerality. Peach, apricot, apple, and honey. Light and crisp! — 5 years ago
A blend of 77% Cab Sauv, 13% Merlot, 7% Syrah, 3% Petite Sirah & 1% Cab Franc, deep Ruby with aromas of rich ripe berry fruits, cedar and earthy herb spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, black cherry and plum, with cacao, tobacco and oaky notes. Nice balance, soft chewy tannins, long finish ending with creamy vanilla spice and cedar character. Nice value! — 6 years ago

Wow! 2007 vintage in magnum was destined for Thanksgiving 2013! Right in its stride. Earth, cherry, a little spice and cola. 1/2 point deduction for too much alcohol. — 13 years ago
At 6 years old, smooth and reflective of the volcanic terroir. Dark cherry, tobacco. September 2025. — 10 months ago
Jarvis has always been such a unique producer with its incredible underground facility and fascinating lineup of wines. Their Finch Hollow Chardonnays (this one and the Unfiltered version) are outrageously expensive, but they sure know how to deliver on flavor profile.
My notes here are actually quite similar to the 2015 I opened last year, but everything is a touch more restrained. Normally quite rich with expensive oak usage, this seems nicely balanced…it’s almost fresh in profile. Sweet lemon cream alongside marzipan and sea breeze aromatically. From a phenolic standpoint, it’s close to some of the Aubert offerings with its powerful texture. Finishes with a surprising amount of honeysuckle, caramel dipped apple, and honeycrisp. This seems to be built for a bit longer aging compared to the 2015. I’ll be curious to see how the 2018 is. — 5 years ago

Smells like great California Pinot. Tastes and feels like it. Carries me into the dark dark goth night of Pinot NOIR of vineyards named “Sleepy Hollow” which is great for the day I’m recommending it for (stay tuned). Rich enough ripe enough but the acid cuts through. I’d drink this. I do drink this. — 7 years ago
Dark fruit, lush yet controlled. Dark creamy (!) finish. — 7 years ago
Decanted for 90 mins and was impressed. Depth of the second half of the bottle after 24 hours was even more impressive. Big range on this. Dark rich fruits and the lead is the nose as others have said. I’ll be back (yes! I wrote that before realizing what I was writing). My first experience with a Turnbull was a success. — 8 years ago
This is a great cab! Smooth and flavorful. Could have a little more interest to the palate, but still wonderful. — 9 years ago
