Sonoma Coast - Estate Grown Pinot Noir

Lightly colored, smooth Pinot. Impressive.

Deep red with red fruit flavors and notes of floral and cedar. On the palate sweet cherry, good bit of acidity and some oak is noted. The finish is about medium, not overly complex or memorable.

The nose of this medium-dark wine is beautiful, all ripe and red, with notes of vanilla and tobacco woven into the fruit. A high minty element makes things interesting. On the palate, it walks the tightrope between elegant and muscular. The alcohol is somewhat restrained and the acidity is refreshing. There is some brawn there, but it stops just short of being the kind of California Pinot that tries to masquerade as Syrah.

Sweeter than what I'm used to with Pinot noir, fruity, enjoyable

Pretty good, a little sour at first though

This just tastes exactly as I expect a California pinot should...

More full bodied than most at this price range. I like it!
