Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.
Very nice nose of black currants, blueberries, sweet cherries, cedar, vanilla, licorice, spices, black pepper, dried figs, light raisins, vinaigrette, earth, alcohol and graphite.
Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, black currants, cherries, oak, spices, earth, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, coke, coffee and black pepper.
Medium in length on the finish with soft tannins and spices.
This is a very nice Petit Verdot from Israel. A tasty wine with a great mouthfeel. Spicy with nice complexity and well balanced.
Good by itself as a sipping wine.
Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up.
This four-year-old could use two to three years in the bottle to mature properly and show more complexity.
I paired it with cheeses and crackers.
100% Petit Verdot grapes from the Jerusalem Mountains. Aged for 18 months in French Oak barrels. Kosher.
14.3% alcohol by volume.

This is a very enjoyable GSM blend from Israel. Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel.
Reminds me of a Spanish Garnacha blend.
I had it last year, and it is drinking nicer now. Would benefit from a few more years in the bottle.
Needs 90 minutes to open up properly and show complexity.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with a charcuterie board of cheeses and meats.

Quite lovely.
Roses on the nose. Really pretty and perfumed. Almost some really really pretty raspberry liquor. Gorgeous. Mild spice. Like from a spice merchant in the old city of Jerusalem. Beautiful.
Palate is clean precise but juicy Nebbiolo fruit. So sweet and delicious. Some coffee some chocolate.
Tastes like very well made barbaresco. Of course it’s declassified barbaresco so no shock.
Finish has a terrific raspberry liquor. Delicious.
Wow. A wonderful effort
Amazing raspberry liquor on the finish. Omg good.
I thought this would suck given the bad press given the vintage. Even against that preconception it was great.

Well balanced, pleasant late smoky oak notes. Kosher. — 8 years ago
Dark red heading in the direction of turning brick, with a blackish dense center. Lots of wood on the nose at first, but recedes after opening up to blackberries, black licorice, mocha, mint and vanilla. Medium to full bodied, lush and smooth in mouthfeel, with soft tannin and low acidity. Flavors of red currant, cranberry and red licorice. Then there's mocha, mint and vanilla again. It finishes so smoothly and elegantly, with cranberry and cedar. — 8 years ago
16,5/20 — 9 years ago
