One of the better incarnations of Melville’s stainless steel-fermented chardonnay. Aromas of lemon peel, candied melon, and a trace of flint. Terrific acidity, with a nice evolution of flavors on the palate that serve to fill the wine out. Surprisingly lingering finish given the degree of acidity, which suggests to me that this wine is going to be very interesting for quite a few years. Great job by the team at Melville! — 9 years ago

11' Nine Suns wasn't released to the public? What a shame. Just an amazing bottle of 2011. @Jason Chang @@Martin G Rivard — 9 years ago

Flint & Steel adds a crisp flinty backbone to classic Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc. A lovely nose of honeysuckle, peach and grapefruit rind is followed by flavors of mango, kiwi, lemongrass & freshly squeezed grapefruit. The wine is medium bodied with a smooth and refreshing finish. — 12 years ago
Fermented in concrete barrels, not oak or steel. Very unique, crisp flavor. — 13 years ago

It's with great joy and sadness I open up this last bottle from the case. It seems almost wrong to be finishing up a case of 2013 already, but it's just so good!
The good news is the that reviews from Jason Oliver have convinced me to sign on to the Hunnicutt club. First case gets here in November! 🍷 cheers Mr Oliver. — 9 years ago

French Oak + Stainless Steel
$38 at winery — 12 years ago
Lush and delicious - stainless steel and concrete keep this honest, fruit driven and energetic. Still has a full almost creamy mouthfeel but driven by crystalline orchard fruit, smoky minerals, and piercing citrus acidity. Fresh, drinkable, but complex and worthy of pairing with a great meal. — 8 years ago
So so so so so so so so so freaking good @Jason Chang — 9 years ago

(raised in stainless steel tanks and made with no malo) Limpid straw-yellow. Assertive, mineral-accented orchard fruit, melon and fennel aromas are sharpened by hints of ginger and lemon zest. Intense pear skin, Meyer lemon and violet pastille flavors show a suave blend of richness and delicacy thanks to a spine of juicy acidity. Closes minerally, taut and impressively long, leaving a powerful floral note behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2018) — 8 years ago
