First time having a godello. Nice body and oak notes coming through. Paired very nicely with Spanish Iberian ham, Maresme peas, black garlic, and olives. — 9 years ago
Attempt #2, we grabbed the Château des Charmes Gamay Noir Droit to pair with a homemade grilled cheese on focaccia with Iberian Salami and Chorizo. The Gamay has some bottle age but is still quite good! The color is a brick red, the nose has blackberry. There is good acidity to balance the fruit. A very drinkable favorite from this lovely Niagara winery! — 11 years ago

Nicely balanced for Iberian style food. Not overripe, 14.5% ABV. At Shakewell with Alex. — 9 years ago
Great stuff. Length and depth is really impressive. Floral and succulent fleshy fruit nose. Hints of perfume. A lurking wine, starting soft and finishing strong with a burst of puckery acidity. Tension filled. — 10 years ago
Early dinner at Saison, first wine pairing but I will probably forget the rest...will be a good night...they just started Journey as part of their 1980s remix so I faithfully believe so... — 11 years ago

What a wacky and amazing blend. Presenting amazingly for a 2012 and provided useful for a side by side Riedel glass tasting. A really fantastic blend of Touriga Nacional, Tempranillo, Monastrell, Syrah, Malbec, Cinsaut and Garnacha. — 11 years ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Jorge Ordonez founded Bodegas Breca in 2005, in the town of Mundobriga, which was the ancient Celt-Iberian city that gave birth to the modern village of Munebrega in Aragon. The vines planted between 1926 and 1945. Very deep red with a complex bouquet of fruit and sweet spice. Sits on oak for almost 2 years! Tastes of black raspberry, cherry and dried fruit, with sweet herbs and earthy mineral. Balanced, developed tannins and lingering nicely. Real value, a must try. — 9 years ago
