Browned and losing steam. Butterscotch and walnuts. — 9 months ago
Pop and pour. A splendid medium ruby red color. On the nose: aeromatics jump from the glass with strawberry/cherry, forest floor, dried herbs, orange peel. Taste: fresh, chalky wine with strawberry/cherry, toast, earth, leather, pepper, cinnamon, and a nice medium plus finish. Paired with roasted chicken and bread salad. YUM! probably won't get posted until Christmas though? — a day ago

Broad fruit. Some tertiary stuff. Citrus confit. Poached pears. Coconut. Plenty of acid keeps it fresh. 14.1 maybe a touch hot on the finish if I’m bring a critic, but this is complex and delicious. Hits its stride with an hour of air. // edit: left 200ml in the bottle overnight in the fridge. Still delicious on day two but definitely verging oxidized and better yesterday. Pop and pour. A medium straw color. On the nose: lemon, pear, brioche, matchstick, green melon, caramel. Taste: fresh, balanced, chalky wine with nectarine, lemon peel, minerals, and a long crushed stone, citrus rind finish. YUM! Hog Island oysters were so good 2 days ago had to have em again with this wine. — an hour ago
