A beautiful deep red fruited nose along with earth. On the palate the wine appears angry that I disturbed its sleep. Gives me the red fruit found on the nose along with plums and throws in some spice & minerals. The finish was as if the wine threw the blanket over itself and told me to turn off the light and get out of the room. — 7 months ago

Discrete nose of white fruit with pears and also a slight minty and smoke feel, very discrete. The palate is gorgeous, such balance between the perfect acidity and slight richness of fruit and elegance. Another great 2017 CDB. 90-91
Nez discret de poires et une touche de menthe et de fumée mais sans déranger. Le vin est délicieux, quel équilibre entre cette tension appuyée et cette richesse de fruit, juste parfait. Un autre beau blanc 2017. 90-91 + — 6 years ago
Very nice example of Sancerre. Well worth it; from Chez Foushee. — 6 years ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2014 Gevrey-Chambertin pours a garnet color with a translucent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of strawberry, raspberry, sous bois, red flowers, horse blanket, mushroom and a mix of cool and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. This is a fairly textbook example of the 2014 vintage with its rustic green streak coupled with Lignier’s charm. Drink now through 2029. — 6 months ago
Light, crisp, bubbly and delicious. Tart green apple acidity and a long apple skin finish. Maybe our last bottle of this until we get to South Africa, so what a better way to celebrate our amazing Hawaiian adventure 🏝️🥰 — 10 months ago
Strawberry and raspberry flavors melding with a sliver of minerality and the right touch of acidity bringing on a nice finish. 66% pink and 34% chardonnay — 6 years ago

Steely finish, lemony and lots of mineral — 6 years ago
From a producer I really enjoy - in fact a 1998 clos de la roche from Lignier was one of the wines that got me very interested in burgundy several years ago. This probably needs a couple more years but was enjoyable with a 2 hour decant. A bit of green stemminess on initial pop, which mostly dissipates. Lots of dark cherry. Very mouth filling with green herbs. Quite balanced with a nice refreshing finish with good acid. For $40 a buy for sure to see how it develops. — 6 years ago
