Rating 2014 a 96 for now so the scale has somewhere to go up once it gets some age. Aromatics hit the nose with power and went down nicely. This one will be great @Bruce Phillips scary good for being this young. Cheers! — 9 years ago

Founded by Bruce Cohn in 1984, Winery is located in the heart of Sonoma, surrounded by a 100-acre Olive Hill Vineyard where the soil is warmed by underground natural hot springs. A big Cab, aromas of ripe black fruits with intoxicating earthy tones. On the palate blackberry and ripe blueberry flavors with tobacco and bits of cacao surrounded by big firm tannins, lingering finish ending with rich fruit, oak and earthy character. — 8 years ago

These are lovely Santa Ynez valley pinots... — 8 years ago
The 2014 Sonoma County Pinot Noir had bright ruby and complex red berry fruit aromas with sweet earthy spice. The palate shows cherry, tart raspberry and strawberry flavors with citrus notes, pepper and nuttiness. The finish develops some toasty oak notes, minerality with firm tannins, well balanced coming together. Consistent quality year after year! A good value Pinot as retail is around $30, rivals some $50 bottles. — 9 years ago
