From a lovely nose of fresh gunpowder tea Flan, tannins that hit you as soon as the wine rolls over the tip of the tongue.
Round chewy tannins, dark, dark fruits.

Bought 2014 from Domestique on 1/28/19 per recommendation in lieu of Catalan grapes. $25. Drank 1/30/19. Acid and tannin galore. Splendid fruit at front and back. Lean not sweet. Astringent. Lower alcohol means structure just a bit off. Ruby red with black meniscus. Again on 4/11/19 with Ron & Jenny. Even better. With chilie. — 7 years ago

Needs a day or very thorough decanting to show best. Sour cherry, berry stem and a touch of Indian spices on the nose. Sour, almost limoncello like initially on the tongue, followed by stone fruit and a touch of rosemary. The limoncello and rosemary give it a sense of heat, although it's only 13.5abv. This is chorizo and olives' natural tango partner. — 7 years ago

Knew nothing about this wine when i bought it and, honestly cant find much about it, at least not in english. Bordeaux meets Rioja in this wild catalan blend of cab, garnacha, tempranillo, and merlot. Dried cherries and plum, leather, briny black olive, and thyme. Full body and rich not grippy tannin.
